Review: Freedom Wireless is advertised as a Verizon Wireless store. I chose to upgrade my phone in store. I was offered an insurance plan that required one payment of approximately $100 while in the store. I was told the insurance was through Verizon and would replace a monthly payment. I was also told I would no longer have a monthly payment included in my regular bill. Additionally, I was informed that the currently plan of insurance would no longer be available. I called Verizon about one month after I was in the store to inquire about a separate billing issue. When I asked why the monthly amount for insurance was still included in my bill, I was informed that the "insurance" I purchased was NOT through Verizon, but through a third party used by the store, which is not actually a Verizon store. Essentially I was being charged twice for insurance. I called the store it inquire, and was told it is store policy to end the monthly payments if the insurance plan is purchased (this did not happen in my case). The individual that sold me the plan did not follow store policy. I was also mis-informed regarding who the insurance was through. The store was not helpful in any way.Desired Settlement: I am requesting a refund through the insurance company (which I understand is separate from the store). I would like to know that this type of misrepresentation will not happen in the future to other consumers. I feel like this is 100% fraud.

To Whom It May Concern: This customer got in (ouch with you prior to us even knowing there was a problem. An hour after complaint was filed with the Revdex.com, the customer contacted SecuriPAC and was immediately taken cave of as she requested a refund tor these services. This issue has been resolved. Out company is a Verizon Wireless Authorized Dealer and has been in business for over 15 years and is a very? reputable organization. The company we use as a replacement program is a third party vendor not in connection with her Verizon Wireless bill and is separate from our company which is why she paid for the program up front. This customer would have received all o f the necessary information regarding this program and how it works at the time of purchase. The information was even printed on the customer’s invoice and any questions could have been answered by the sales person or the SecuriPAC customer support line, 1 hope this gives a little more clarity to the situation.
