Review: 2011 GMC Acadia

Purchased a certified pre-owned vehicle from the dealer. The vehicle was pulling and vibrating when you applied the brakes. It took my husband a while to find time to return the vehicle to the dealer for a check. He took the vehicle in today and was told the rotors had to be cut and resurfaced and a wheel alignment was necessary to correct the problem. The total charge was inn excess of 400 hundred dollars. We were told that it was normal wear and tear and therefore not covered by the warranty. We have put about 6,000 miles on the vehicle since its purchase and there is no way that the brakes would be worn to the point of needing replacement or correction. It is my contention that the vehicle was sold as certified pre-owned but necessary repairs were not done before it was sold. The customer pays a premium for a certified pre-owned vehicle and no way we should be making a 400 dollar repair after 2 1/2 months.

The vehicle was also sold with a deep scratch on the trunk which I believe should have been fixed before it was sold. It was raining when we picked up the vehicle so I thought the scratch was water running off the roof of the car.

I think the dealer misrepresented the condition of the vehicle prior to purchase.Desired Settlement: I think they should refund the cost of the repair and fix the scratch.

Review: Freehold GMC advisor [redacted] double billed me for a repair and refuses to acknowledge his "mistake" and the dealership has not reimbursed me even after** Corporate contacted them on several occasions. It states on repair slip that repairs are under warranty for 12 months/12000 miles but charged me anyways and wont reimburse me. [redacted] at ** Corporate has been trying to work with them to reverse the charges but has not made any progress because they rely on smoke and mirrors to confuse and attempt to distort concrete evidence or won't talk to corp at all. I was at this dealership in January, February, April and May of 2013 (I was on bedrest, in and out of the hospital through February and wound up with an emergency c-section in March which is the only reason I didn't make it back sooner) for the leak.

They have been charging me for repairing oil leaks even though my truck never stopped leaking after such "repairs". My truck is now elsewhere being repaired as it continues to leak to this day and it has been found that my truck has had this same leak (which is actually a manufacturing defect with a **bulletin alerting dealers to this issue) for a long time. Meanwhile, Freehold GMC has been "fixing other leaks", (remember my vehicle NEVER stopped leaking after these repairs) and charging me, but failed to see a MAJOR leak with a WIDELY KNOWN manufacturing defect?Desired Settlement: They need to refund my money for the second, identical oil leak repairs done in March 2012 and January 2013 as I am well within guidelines. It would also be ethical for them to refund the other charges ($200) for the April 2013 repair to make up for the time and frustration they have caused me ESPECIALLY since I was going through this with severe health issues at the end of my pregnancy. It is the least they can do for not following ** protocol and diagnosing the problem correctly.
