2nd Quarter payroll tax returns.  I sent him copies of the payrolls-to-date and we disengaged. The Colorado Department of Labor and Employment called me on Thursday Jan. 29, 2015, for information on how to contact [redacted] because of discrepancies in his 2014 reporting. I gave them his cell phone number, as I had it in my Closed Client files. [redacted] contacted me by phone, email and text on Friday the 30th to ask me questions about the payroll from the end of June 2014. I responded that I didn't run the payroll in question, and that he needed to ask the woman who he hired from my firm. I was unable to do any further research that day, not because he was no longer a client of mine, but because I was completely booked solid with many client appointments and tasks throughoutthat day and the weekend, and ending with the IRS deadline of March 2nd to send out year end reporting.  This is my busiest time of the year, and I was unable to adequately address the issue until my next available appointment. I asked [redacted] if we could meet on the 8th of March, and he refused, growing increasingly angry and demanding.  At this point I terminated the conversation and this complaint was filed. I stand by any work that is completed on behalf of any clients of mine, regardless of whether they are a past or present client. I have to respect everyone's needs and sometimes the timeline doesn't meet the expectations, but I always try my hardest to figure out any issues and resolve them to my best effort.
