Freeway Car Wash

To whom it may concern,When the customer exited the tunnel a spider web crack was noticed on the front windshield. The crack ran from the top of the windshield down. The weather outside on that day was degrees and sunny. If there is a small chip that may not be noticeable on the
windshield is present the car then runs thru the car wash where cold water only is applied. On an degree weather day the windshield will act as a heat transfer source and get significantly hotter then the outside temp. With water that is almost degrees less hitting it instantly can cause a small chip to expand and spider web. This being said we feel as if it is not our responsibility. We wash several cars that day and if there was a malfunction with of the equipment not only would the windshield be damaged so would the entire car and every other car that passed at that time. Our car wash is 100% cloth and has no moving parts that come close to a car windshield.Since she was a good customer we offered to pay for half even tho we do not accept any responsibility for this incident and she told us she would call us back and never contacted us again. Her insurance company will contact us and we will give it to our insurance which will handle this matter further.Thanks
