This company is absolutely terribleMy experience first started out with me trying to return the phone call of the original gentlemen that gave me a quoteIt took me over an hour to finally get a hold of someone to find out that he was firedAfter finally getting all of my information back together again, I was told that it would cost $for my shipmentHe said to give him hours to set it up and and I gave them daysAs far as I knew, everything was set up for AM on a TuesdayOn Monday afternoon, I called to ask a question about shipping papers to learn that they would not be able to ship my unitsNo one called me to let me know this and I had to call myself to find out my shipment would not be going out, and this shipment was very time sensitive as they knew, so it was of the utmost importance to get it outThey called me back and told me they could get me an exclusive truck (meaning only my shipment) for an extra $on top of my quoted priceMy shipment got picked up on time, but it was not an exclusive truckSo I pretty much got charged extra $for nothing and they told me there was nothing I can do about itI flat out caught them in a lie and they still would not give me my $backThey lost a whole lot of future business with me over $I would never ever recommend these thieves and liars to anybodySuch a terrible company

I got charged an extra $for a pick up just because my business address is a resort They wrote limited access on my slip By no means is my driveway to my business is limited access! Before complaining I called talk to a customer service representative addressed the issue never called me back I also addressed the issue in an email and it was also ignored

This company is a rip-off. Quoted excellent prices for freight shipment which I paid up front in full. Item was weighed prior to pickup. One week after delivery I was sent an adjusted bill for 200# excess weight for $142 which I begrudgingly paid as I had no way to prove otherwise. Now two months after delivery, I received another adjusted bill for $142 for liftgate delivery which I did not request or need as I had a forklift to unload it. Driver of his own accord used the liftgate equipped truck to unload it without notifying me he was outside the door. Saia, the freight company who transported the shipment, did an excellent job, picked up & delivered in timely fashion and no shipping damage. Freightcenter, Inc is the problem by billing unauthorized charges.

I have used this company on several occasions. The problems have gotten steadily worse. I have sent a shipment only to have them charge me more after the fact. The first time they charged me for a residential delivery when my customer had picked the item up at the terminal. I did get my money back but it took several weeks of complaining. The second time I was charged an additional $135. for a lift gate at delivery when the agent put "lift gate not authorized" on the bill of lading. Freight Center blames the carrier but will not refund my money. The agent even told me that he was familiar with the delivery site and that they could unload. This company will charge you whatever they want after they have your credit card number and you have no options.

Quoted one price and took money off of our credit card they took upon themselves to keep on file. Do not trust this company with your payment information.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! My mother and I were set back 2 weeks from moving in to my new apartment in New York because they messed up my shipment. And WE had to fix the issue and arrange for a completely separate freighter to take my stuff from FreightCenter's warehouse in San Diego to my new apartment. We have not only had to spend a LOT more money to get it here (still a week late) and to arrange for last-minute lodging, we had to dedicate all of our time to contacting multiple company's within FreightCenter's contracts because they wouldn't do it for us and their policies are designed to TAKE YOUR MONEY. Although the issue was escalated as high as possible, the Director of Marketing (John), the Freight Supervisor (Lisa), and her Director still could not sort out the issue and told us WE would have to pay the extra costs. Horrible customer service as well as service execution.

I had the displeasure of working with James who walked me thru the process of having all my sofas and chairs on pallets and wrapped to ensure no damage would be done. On the day all the items were going to be picked up James calls me and says the company that I was quoted that would do the job can't and he has to get a new company. Which I feel is his responsibility not mine. I was informed that it would cost me an extra $100.95. Again, this is crazy that you quote someone a price just to change it the day that everything is going to get picked up. I feel like James used me due to my lack of knowledge in freight shipping and I feel that I need to contact counsel to get back the money back that James stole from me.

The employees who work giving quotes to the customer have no idea of what they are doing. They gave me a quote for the transportation of a BBQ grill and when the trucking company arrive to pick the BBQ they want to palletize it, this BBQ grill has wheels and there was no need for it to be palletized, the seller told them he did not have any pallets but they were welcome to do it themselves, next day they show up with two big wood pallets put the grill on top and wrap it around with plastic, then they claim the BBQ Grill was overweight and for that reason they charged my credit card $333.00 when I notice I called them and ask then what was going on they told me the item was not palletized and that increased the weight of the item for what I have to pay. I immediately call my credit card and file a complaint about this company for what my credit card found me not liable for errors of the carrier and refund my money. Now the freight company wants to take me to court for their mistake.
