Terrible service, don't answer phones, estimates are outrageous, and charges for storage of vehicle if you don't spend at least $300.00! My husbands truck was stolen and once recovered had to sit in their lot for weeks....No work done on the truck so they charge him a storage fee!

Attention: Better...

Business Bureau / Conciliation & Engagement Specialist RE: ID#[redacted]   I am writing in response to [redacted] Pino's complaints on the 2012 Freightliner Cascadia Vin ending BF1430. It is never our intention as a dealer to sell a unit where it will have mechanical issues as soon as the customer takes delivery of vehicle. At Freightliner of Arizona we do a Federal DOT inspection in hopes of preventing as many issues as we possibly can. Although we make our best efforts to deliver a vehicle in perfect working condition there are at times mechanical issues found once they go under a load that cannot be prevented. I have attached shop bills showing the work that was performed at our dealership. In addition to that we changed the fluids and filters. We have a very thorough truck inspection where a mechanic goes through and repairs all visible leaks and faulty parts. I have also attached proof that we had the APU serviced by a 3rd party, Thermo King, they are local dealership who represents manufacturer of the APU. In the attachments you will see that we have addressed and fixed all of the leaks that were found. In the repairs you will also find that we did repair and service the AC. In the repairs you will see that a DOT inspection was performed. In total we have paid over $12,352.42 in preventative maintenance and repairs. I am hoping this will show that we did everything within our power to provide the best possible used truck to [redacted].
Thermo King West $289.35
Service $543.78
Service $247.50
Service $450.32
Service $336.40
Service $220.23
Service $9,513.41
Service $751.43
I have also attached our Invoice and bill of sale that [redacted] has signed. Right above the signature is a disclosure that was signed saying "as is". There was no additional "we owes" stating we guaranteed any further work. In regards to the tires wearing unevenly this could be so many different issues such as: air tire pressure is not properly inflated. Tire may have hit an object knocking it out of alignment etc. I am not sure why the tires are wearing unevenly but these are normal maintenance items that do wear out or need to adjusted or repaired as miles are put on vehicles.   I hope that by showing the attached shop bills we have proven the proper repairs were made and [redacted] is simply making erroneous statements as to the quality of the truck purchased. Unfortunately with used trucks and mechanical moving components things do wear out or break down. We made every effort to repair any issues we found so that we could sale a very the very best used truck possible. In addition to selling the truck we also provided an aftermarket warranty by Premium 2000 that will cover any major mechanical issues. I have attached the warranty form showing  what components are covered. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee a used truck is going to last forever nor would we ever put that in writing. I am very empathetic for the issues [redacted] is having but we cannot pay for every repair that a used truck has after they take delivery of the unit. James Q. BUSINESS RESPONSE:
Freightliner of Arizona and [redacted] sold [redacted] a 2009...

Freightliner semi truck with 642,075 approx miles dated 6th day of December 2013. The deal was negotiated and terms agreed on between [redacted] and [redacted]. At no time was [redacted] present during negotiations. The truck was delivered to the customer at their request and complaints started on the frame being rusty. We advertise detailed pictures on [redacted] and always offer more if requested. We also highly recommend the trucks be personally inspected by the buyer. Trucks having high miles like this unit will always have some frame rust. When [redacted] contacted me very upset because she wasn't getting everything she demanded I finally tried to appease her by offering to paint the frame if she would bring the truck back to one of our dealerships in ** or I would pay her $400.00 which is my cost using our body shop.  She was very uncooperative and demanded the frame be painted including sandblasting. If this was requested before the close of the sale we would have accommodated them with this service but pricing would reflect the cost of sandblast and paint. When we sold the truck to the [redacted] family we made sure this was a mechanically sound unit up to [redacted] standards, fully serviced and detailed repairing any broken parts. We unfortunately cannot make every cosmetic repair malcing them new again. Pricing is too competitive in the market. I am supplying a brealcdown of reconditioning fees to bring the truck up to the condition level we sold it at.
[redacted] purchased this truck with an [redacted] book value of $54,775 and we sold him the unit for a sale price of $47,500. He purchased this at a very low negotiated price putting him in a great equity position from the very beginning. I am not denying this truck does have frame rust because it is clearly present as does any other unit with over 600.000 miles. I am also stating that this was a very mechanically sound truck and the rust will not affect the reliability of this truck at all. If we repainted, reupholstered and replaced every used part on the truck we would price ourselves so far out of the market that banks would not loan against them because our values would be out of line. Customers would purchase trucks elsewhere because we would not be price competitive.I have done what I feel is fair for both parties by offering the $400.00 for frame to be painted but [redacted] doesn't feel that is fair and wants the frame to be the same quality as a new truck. I unfortunately cannot afford to accommodate her request.
 Respectfully yours,
