I bought some dress fabric costing $73.622 inc.$12for postage. The photo on website grossly mis-represented the material. I was very unhappy.represented the material. The photo showed adesign considerably reduced in scale and even thecolours looked different so that there was no re-semblance whatsoever between website and thereality Purchased in May, 2014. I was very unhappyand owner said that she would refund money butdidn't. I paid by credit card. Desired SettlementI would like the refund of $73.622 promised.Business Response Thank your for the opportunity to respond. This is our first complaint in 14 years.We have been in contact via telephone and email with the client and we are still waiting for the return of the fabric before we issue the full refund we agreed on. We believe that the photo and description on the website is an accurate representation of the fabric she purchased, but we recognize that she would have had to read the details about the fabric to understand the size of the designs. Also note that we provide free color swatches to clients who request them, but no request was received before this fabric was purchased. Our website terms state plainly that we do not accept returns of cut fabric, but we felt that the client had not read the information carefully and that she may not be a frequent internet shopper as she did not place the order online, but preferred to call us and discuss the fabrics before purchasing them over the phone. We therefore agreed that she could return the fabric and that we would issue the refund when we received it. The fabric has not yet been returned to us.The client, who lives in [redacted], was concerned that she had not received our email with a [redacted] shipping address, since we are not asking her to send the fabric back to the US. The email was sent to her on May 17th but she did not receive it. She tried contacting us over the Memorial Day holiday weekend, but we were closed. When she did not have an immediate reply she contacted the Revdex.com with her complaint. We contacted her on Tuesday May 27 after receiving her weekend email. We have resent the original May 17th email as well as. We anticipate that she has sent the fabric to the correct address in [redacted] and that we will be able to proceed with a refund when the fabric arrives.If you wish to see corroborating emails or notes from phone conversations please let us know. We pride ourselves on our flexible customer service and we feel that this case has shown our willingness to work with clients rather than an example of us not fulfilling our promises.More info received from the consumer 2014-05-29The photo on the website, as I have already stated, is grossly misleading and I question whythe company did not feel able to simply show aphoto of the fabric as it is in reality, ratherthan a greatly scaled down version of the print; even the colours were not accurate in photo butsomewhat different. The fact that other cutomersallegedly were happy with material is irrelevant.I have bought materials on more than one occasiononlne from reputable major shops in [redacted]and have never had such a problem = fabrics havealways been shown exactly as they are.Final Business Response Dear Revdex.com and Mrs [redacted]Please note my mother let me know that she received the returned fabric this morning May 31st, 2014 and I have credited your card ending in [redacted] for $73.63.
