Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 11, 2015/07/29) */ I, [redacted] of French Construction, owner of years did complete the roof for [redacted] twelve years agoOnly on one occasion did he contact me regarding an issue with his roofUpon immediate inspection I advised him the actual issue was with his gutter being too low, and the water was getting in behind itI installed inch aluminum strips and tuck under the drip edge and over the back splash of the gutterI also did a complete roof maintenance while thereEIGHT years later, because consumer, [redacted] trusted me and was always satisfied with my work and our relationship asked me to bid another job for him to put siding on his homeDue to my very heavy workload I referred the job to [redacted] ConstructionMr [redacted] did bid the job and did side the homeMr [redacted] did advise Mr [redacted] he needed to remove gutter and put new fascia and cut fascia to fit under gutters [redacted] chose NOT to do the extra recommended work due to "cost difference" [redacted] did call me and I made plans to inspect the roof, she advised me the time would not work for her or her husband as they would be out of town for four daysI asked her to call me upon their return, and she didThere was only a three day gap in communication as my son had health issues that took immediate attentionSo, three days later on a Friday [redacted] did call me on a Friday evening after business hours and I did answer her callI was trying to tell her I was at my grandchild's birthday party but could call her when it was overShe was yelling and irate from the moment I answered the call and I could not get a word inShe would not listen to my request to call her back, we did exchange words and she was extremely aggressive with meWhile still at my grandchild's birthday party, her father called meHe immediately began cussing me and threatening meI will not type the words that were said, but would be happy to visit via phone conference with exact detailsAfter the birthday party I did try and call her dad and her back to discuss said argumentThey did now answer my callsHowever she did immediately text me back stating she had somebody else to make the repairsOn a final note, I am friends with ***'s daughter ***, (***'s mother), She was my banker for many yearsI feel if there would have been a real problem [redacted] would have definitely addressed the issues to me [redacted] and his wife where friends of mineI have helped them remodel their bathroom with [redacted] at no charge, just to help themAlso, the law reads I have to give a five year workmanship warranty, but I give every job a written TEN year warrantyAs you know in the complaint this roof was completed TWELVE years ago, at what point do I get to not be held responsible? There has been numerous storms over the past years, with damaging winds, hail etc....Where is our contractors protection? This report against me is uncalled for [redacted] has no idea of the relationship [redacted] and I had, and conversations we had regarding his property, as she was twelve years old when he became my customerI am a year old Contractor, you don't remain in business for over twenty years by doing poor work, you do it by being reliable, honest, and by word of mouth

I, [redacted] of French Construction, owner of 25 years did complete the roof for [redacted] twelve years ago. Only on one occasion did he contact me regarding an issue with his roof. Upon immediate inspection I advised him the actual issue...

was with his gutter being too low, and the water was getting in behind it. I installed 3 inch aluminum strips and tuck under the drip edge and over the back splash of the gutter. I also did a complete roof maintenance while there. EIGHT years later, because consumer, [redacted] trusted me and was always satisfied with my work and our relationship asked me to bid another job for him to put siding on his home. Due to my very heavy workload I referred the job to [redacted] Construction. Mr [redacted] did bid the job and did side the home. Mr. [redacted] did advise Mr. [redacted] he needed to remove gutter and put new fascia and cut fascia to fit under gutters. I am a 59 year old Contractor, you don't remain in business for over twenty years by doing poor work, you do it by being reliable, honest, and by word of mouth.

Review: Brian French was hired and contracted to remodel a house. He has abandoned the job with payment. He was scheduled to purchase the remaining materials and complete the project. I have spoken to him once in the last 3 weeks. We were given a 6 week time frame and we are currently at 14 weeks.Desired Settlement: Complete contracted work or refund the money.
