Fresh Cleaners At Galt

Review: Tuesday June 3rd, 2014I called Fresh Cleaners in Galt CA in the AM. I spoke with [redacted]. I asked the cost of having a hidden zipper replaced in a dress. I told her I need to pick up the dress by Friday 6/6/14. She asked me the length of the zipper. I said approx 13 to 15 inches. She asked me if I would be bringing my own zipper. I said yes, I could drop it off with the dress on Wednesday 6-4-14. [redacted] confirmed that I could have the dress by Friday and that the cost would be $20.00. I told her I would drop the dress/new zipper off on Wednesday 6/4/14. Wednesday June 4th I dropped off the dress and the new zipper @ Fresh Cleaners in Galt. I told the tailor I had called the day before and was told I could pick the dress up on Friday. She seemed familiar with the call, and confirmed I could pick the dress up when requested. The tailor and I looked @ the dress, and the zipper to make sure it was the correct length and type. I showed her where the old zipper had failed. She asked me if I wanted the dress dry cleaned and I said no. She handed me a receipt for the dress, and I told her the price was not what I had been quoted. She claimed that was the cost for a hidden zipper of that length. I told her I had given [redacted] very specific information as to the length of the zipper, that it was a hidden zipper and that I had to have the dress on Friday 6/6/14. I made my decision to use the cleaners in Galt VS the other 2 cleaners I had called based on the fact that I could have my dress on Friday and the cost of the repair. I told her I had to have the dress as it was too late to go to another tailor and I had to have the dress by Friday. She then proceed to all most push me away from the counter as there were other customers standing behind me and she did not want them to hear our conversation or have them wait. Thursday June 5th [redacted] called me on my cell phone and stated she did not quote me a price of $20,00 and that this is a difficult repair and takes time and the cost is $28.00. This was a lie. She was rude and belligerent during the phone call. I stated that I gave her the length and style of the zipper and that she quoted me $20.00 and that the dress could be ready by Friday. On 6/4/14 [redacted] quoted me $20,00. Period. I advised her I would be making a formal complaint. She DID NOT quote or state:The dress / zipper MAY be $20.00The zipper MAY BE ABOUT $20,00I have to check with the tailor on the price and get back to youFriday June 6thI picked up my dress @ approx 2 in the afternoon. The zipper was repaired correctly. The price was $28.00 which I had to pay, as I needed the dress.Desired Settlement: I am requesting a cash/check return of $8.00 that I was overcharged. I do not want a credit as I will NEVER use this dry cleaners again.
