Fresh Cut Lawn Care

[redacted] call my company and asked me if I could stop by and give her a price or an estimate on fixing her basement walls. when I came by to give [redacted] and estimate she stated to me he wanted the job to start as soon as possible. I gave [redacted] my estimate and she was in agreement and she... wanted me to start ASAP. I told [redacted] I could start the job in two days and needed to order material for the job. [redacted] wrote me a check for $1000. The total for job was $9000. Monday morning I picked up material needed for the job. On my way to ***'s house I called her to let her know we would be arriving shortly. that is when she told me that she no longer needed my assistance for the job and that she found somebody else to do the job cheaper. I used ***'s $1000 check for Materials that could not be refunded.

*** ***I do not accept the statement that I was informed that there is a minimum one hour charge That minimum charge , mow or not was NEVER stated to me during the initial acceptance of the LAWN service this conversation was done over the phone for the initial request for lawn service The only mention of charges was the per hour rate, the scheduled service was stated, and I agreed to have them come to mow the lawn When the agents of the lawn service came, the FIRST thing they said was “ AS it is RAINING, we can come back next week I agreed, and waited They never came I phoned, and the company stated they had cancelled the service

We live in the Pacific Northwest and we cut rain or shine.  There is a minimum of a one hour charge.  This was all relayed to the consumer.  The consumer said do not cut today.  Therefore, the consumer was charged the typical charge charge of one hour.  The consumer lives in...

a remote area.  We have since cancelled service to this consumer.  Again, the consumer was informed of the one hour minimum charge and the consumer sent the employees away.  Our employees cut in the rain as we live in the Pacific Northwest.
