The unit that was installed years ago doesn't have a lifetime of part coverage and or labor warranty Please refer to your warranty coverage information through the manufacturerOn the account there is a heating service plan which is for the heating season and the coverage details is available online for our customers convenience The blower wasn't replaced it was the run capacitor which isn't covered under the heating plan on the account - cost would have been approx150$ which was not billed as a courtesy to our customerWe did however charge for diagnostic fee as we sent out a technician during the summer to perform workThis account doesn't have an air conditioning plan on the account which would have waived that charge if call took place during business hoursMrsBaker has been a customer of over years and because we value her business will offer to split the cost of diagnostic fee as a courtesy to herBest Regards,Rosa [redacted] Customer Service SupervisorPetro Home Services

I am rejecting this response because:I strongly believe Petro is in the wrong here My wife & I were led to believe that the heat exchanger would be covered under the lifetime warranty Petro is standing behind their claim that the issue was misdiagnosed by a third party As a customer that just re-signed a new contract with Petro; I was expecting them (the professionals) to take on the responsibility of diagnosing the issue to eliminate the prospect of having a valued customerbe burdened with a bill that was not expected.I stand by my initial stance & expect Petro to cover this expense Regards, [redacted]

The fine was paid on 10/14/to the [redacted] departmentThe building department will advise us when the permit is ready and at that time they will give the amount dueMr [redacted] can then go to the building department pay for the permit and schedule an inspection John

The price range of $2.069-$2.119/ gal is an average price of home heating oil and cod combined, it is not the price of what our company is charging per gallonHow the ceiling plan works is your price will fluctuate with our cost, but never to exceed your ceiling priceThe day you received the oil delivery the price was correct of $We are not price gouging any of our customers every company price is different depending on their services they provideWe as Petro offer plumbing, 24/service and customer service representatives are available to take calls, fleet of delivery trucks and service vans, service agreements, smart pay, auto payments, online billing...etcThis is included in the cost of our businessI can understand how upset you may feel about the price, but we are not able to make an adjustment to the price per gallonYou do have a service agreement that will renew in February and I can renew that service agreement at $that is the same Value Service Plan that you have now on the account

Hi, Our Service Manager John [redacted] and I called the customer [redacted] and spoke with him to be sure there was an understanding of what occurredThe customer wasn’t initially a Petro Home Services customerHe had another company who diagnosed the issue with his heat exchangerThe customer called us and asked us to come and replace this heat exchanger based on it being under the manufacturer’s warrantyWe accommodated the customer and when it was sent to the manufacturer directly, it was not the heat exchanger as the customer initially informed usJohn [redacted] advised that there are several ways to diagnose this issue and we weren’t able to as we didn’t perform service calls as he wasn’t our customerWe didn’t have the history that was needed to diagnose and there are times when it is visible to the naked eye, however, this wasn’t one of themPetro Home Services came to do a service that was requested by our customer and we did the job as requested and the unit was working fine afterwardsThe records from the manufacturer indicated that the unit wasn’t properly cleaned and maintained which may have caused the misdiagnosis from another companyAs a result, Petro Home Services is not responsible for the costs that were incurred as a result of this service being performedWe explained this and the customer understoodWe provided him with John’s direct contact information in the event he needs to reach out to him again regarding this matterWe consider this matter closed

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I just spoke to the [redacted] Construction Department ( [redacted] ) on Monday, October 3rd at 3:PM Petro has recently submitted the paperwork for the Building permit for the Hot Water Heater installed on August 29, 2016, however, to date, Petro has not paid the fine levied against them by [redacted] *** The [redacted] Construction Department has informed me that they will not issue the permit to Petro until both the fine and the permit are paid Regards, [redacted]
