Ms*** ordered lunch through our e-commerce lunch ordering program. However, her credit card was declined times prior to the third time when it went through. Usually this happens when someone keys in the wrong billing information. Credit cards or debit cards pend the money when a card is declined. This is not something we can control, but a banking thing. We typically see that the money is released within to hours. I wish we could do something but their really is nothing we can do. The money is then released.
The situation was intially confusing for my staff because she kept saying she had an online order, which we do online shopping, so my staff looked everywhere to find the online order, hence the HyVee comment, it was the only thing they could think of. She eventually started screaming at my staff and I was going to call her back and explain, but I had already received her email. I promptly emailed her back explaining the situation, as you can see. I never heard from her again. Once I received your letter, I attempted to reach her again about the situation. But as of today's date, I have heard nothing from her. The last piece of information you will see is the document that shows we had one of her payments settled and the other declined. So, there is nothing for us to refund because she was only charged once. I just don't think she understands the pending transactions when it comes to banking

First and foremost I want to thank you for now responding. Meanwhile
I wanted to clear up a statement that was made. I am very aware of the way bank
card transactions operate. I use to be employed with a company name Medavante
that handles thousands of major debit cards, financial institutions, as well other
merchant services handling credit cards. So I understand the way an authorization,
from a preauthorization is handled. I overall felt like the matter of the entire
situation was handled poorly from beginning to end, meanwhile I did not yell at
your coworkers. I handled the call professional unlike your call center. I
simply was disappointed about the way they handle my concern and I was really surprised
on how CONFUSED they did not know the process. I will never order from your
company again not because of the credit card being charge 3x's but on how poorly
