On May 15th of Mr*** *** and his son *** *** *** purchased
an Toyota Avalon with a day or
mile limited warranty which included Engine & Transmission and in perfectly good conditionweeks after the purchase, the customer came in to replace the front left fog light that was promised to them at the time of the sale
About 45-days after the purchase (warranty had already expired) *** *** *** came in with his Mom and complained that the headliner was falling apart, I didn't even go outside to look at it like they wanted me to, I just picked up the phone, called (Art's Upholstery) and authorized for him to fix the problem at no cost to them
Art's Upholstery also quoted them a price (our cost) to completely replace it, at which
Point they declined the work
Around Aug 14th Mr*** ** and his Mom came in to speak to me about an oil leak and possible problems with the carThey also stated they had mentioned it to me beforeAt this point I said "No" this conversation never took place
#all my vehicles go through a 3rd party safety, service, and smog inspectionIt was never mentioned by any mechanic or customer of this so called "Leak"
I'm very sorry of this unfortunate incident, we take pride in helping all our customers as much as possibleThat's the reason we give a free day or 1,mile warranty to allAfter that, it's the customer's responsibility

Before making agreements of purchasing the vehicle we noticed a few scratches on the bottom of the car and also noticed that on the left side of the vehicle the fog light bulb was not working before that being said we told him to cooperate with us and reduce the price He refused to comply of the two situations and gave us the option of either replacing the fog light bulb or reducing the price for the vehicleWe agreed on fixing the bulbWe did not receive the fog light within weeks of the purchase of the vehicle from what *** stated; in via messages I contacted him constantly concerning about the fog light and he prolonged the situation of approximately for a monthAnytime I would send him a via message concerning about the fog light he would give me a specific date or state he would send me a message of when the fog light would arrive and would switch his comments and failed to comply on either statement he madeThe warranty in which the fog light should have been covered and not given an optionWhat was the purpose of the warranty? Also, within the weeks he sent me a via message stating "we need to finalize the loan" of purchasing the vehicle we still had the warranty and told him about the leaking situation in his office face to face and stated "Is the vehicle running well? and the leaking has nothing to do with the warranty of the engine/transmission"
The reason I am mentioning the fog light is because I have the dates on my phone to prove that he's a liar and I have prove of our conversation about the fog light before the warranty had expiredHe claims that his vehicles are inspected by a certified mechanic, it is my opinion that this car was not inspected correctlyAny person with a little knowledge of a car would have noticed an oil leak
MrLopez is not an honest person their only concern is to sell vehicles and not take care of the clientsThey knew there was a problem with the car and failed to fix the problem
We spoke to him about the oil leak before the warranty had expired, he's denying it but we are hard working and honest people and have no reason to lie about this oil leak
I know it is difficult to prove our conversation that had occurred, but I'm 100% sure that other people have complains
All I'm asking is to have my car fixed because this problem was brought to his attention before the warranty had expired

In response to your previous letter and the hopes of putting an end to this
Situation, the dealership is willing to help you with the sum of $dls to help
alleviate your problem with the car, and to answer your question in regards to the
"Fog Light" well that wasn't a warranty issue, that was a promise of work that was typed on a form called a Due Bill, which we committed to replacing since the beginning of the saleHopefully this will bring this matter to an end and we can move forward
