On Sat.6/12/2021 my daughter and I test drove a 1993 MERCURY Sable wagon. Johnny/John seemed very friendly and easygoing. John mentioned that the Power seat stuck, I said that they would have to fix and/or replace it with the same kind and color. John said, jokingly, no we'll put in a black leather one. I said that I wanted to come back on Monday, to take it to my mechanic. John said " that'll be just fine " I asked if he wanted to take a 100% refundable deposit, to hold the car, pending the seat's repair and/or replacement, and my mechanic's inspection and approval. John said No, that won't be necessary. I then returned on Monday 6/14/2021, took the car to my mechanic. He checked everything out, then told me it only needed the seat repair/replacement and the cruise control repaired/replaced. I took the car back to the dealership. John came out, and I said that I would like to make an offer on the car. I wanted the seat and the cruise control repaired/ replaced, and I offered $5000 IN CASH, Plus tax, title and registration, and dealer's "service" right there, in my hand for the car. The asking price was $5995. John said let me get your phone number, and I 'll Call you. He also stated that he had the tracks and mechanism to fix the seat, and that it was probably just "sticky buttons" on the cruise control that he could just take apart, clean, and reassemble. I said " Let me know when it's done. On Tuesday 6/15/2021, I noticed that the dealership website had removed the car, with no mention of it being sold or? I figured that they were making the repairs. I waited until Thursday 6/17/2021 to call and ask if the car was repaired and ready to go. John said " I was off for a few days on vacation, and someone else sold it. There was no money down on it" I said " YOU Told me that I didn't have to put any money down to hold it! " I'm SO Angry that they NEVER said anything about my offer, NEVER took my offer of money down to hold it, Sold it basically out from under me behind my back, without calling me to see if I would negotiate any further. What a Dishonest, Underhanded way to do business! DO NOT EVER TRUST Frey Automotive LLC! I DO NOT Recommend them!
