When a Compressor Fails it not no longer will cool the fridge and ice up the evaporator which is what happened four weeks from initial visit and unfortunately not under our control. On the first visit 5-08-2015 the Compressor Was Working and the Entire Evaporator was iced over and the defrost system was faulty,resulting in a system check and diagnosis of a faulty Circuit Board which was replaced and resolved the defrost system failure. Approximately Four and a half weeks later when a secondary part failed which this time happened to be the Compressor failure and unit stopped cooling and icing, [redacted] Returned at no charge to Mr [redacted]. We are sorry Mr [redacted] had multiple part failures within a short period of time, but we can not predict and do not manufacture the refrigerators only repair them and this second repair unfortunately was not repairable. On 5-8-2015 Mr [redacted] called Fridge Clean And Repair and requested a repair on his Whirlpool gold Model Number [redacted], he stated at this time the fridge was warm but the freezer was cold, so [redacted] went out to the residence at [redacted], upon further diagnoses the freezer was...

completely disassembled to find the entire evaporator was completely iced over at which point [redacted] checked the Defrost Heater And the Bi metal thermostat which controls the heater, the heater and thermostat checked out ok. So at this point the only other part that would cause the defrost system to fail would be the Adaptive Defrost Control Board Or Also Called The Jazz Board, at this point the jazz board would not go into manual defrost. [redacted] then called the local parts supply and got a price on the part, at which point he added the parts, labor, service call and tax together at a total of 441.59 and gave an exact estimate cost to repair the fridge to Mr [redacted], Mr [redacted] agreed to the repair and at this point the service order or ticket was initialed and repair process started. [redacted] at this point takes approximately 45 minutes to de ice the entire evaporator and freezer, [redacted] did not charge him for the de icing which is usually billed at $60. The new part Jazz Board is installed and the fridge is turned on and inspected by [redacted] for proper operation of the evaporator and other parts such as fan and damper, all parts working properly at this time, freezer was reassembled and house and tools cleaned up. The ticket or work order was then signed off at completion and paid in full. Mr [redacted] was given a one year warranty on parts, Fridge Clean and Repair Co only gets a 90 day warranty from manufacture of the part, and he also recieved a 30 day warranty on labor which means if for any reason the fridge has a problem within 30 day we will return and repair the unit at no labor cost to the customer only parts and tax will be charged. [redacted] received a call from Mr [redacted] approximately 4 and a half weeks from intial visit on 5-8-2015 at which point the part is still warrantied but nothing else. [redacted] returns to Mr [redacted] house upon his request due to the whole fridge and freezer being warm and everything melted, [redacted] Diagnoses the new problem then proceeds to explain there is an additional issue with the sealed cooling system Compressor related and it is not a defrost system failure at this time, the compressor has failed and is not pumping the freon at appropriate rate and this is the reason there is no ice on Evaporator coils like the initial visit on 5-8-2015. [redacted] felt at this time he would not charge the service call and labor ($150) for this second visit and additional failure of another part because he could not remove and refund the part we previously installed to correct the Defrost Problem on 5-8-2015,because we do not sell used parts and there was nothing we could do with it and it was not a warranty issue due to the compressor failing 4 weeks later, [redacted] felt this was the only thing to do for Mr [redacted] because a replacement compressor would cost as much as a new fridge. [redacted] And Mr [redacted] came to the same conclusion and everyone was satisfied at this point 4 and a half weeks from the first visit. In all reality Mr [redacted] was given over $200 in Waived charges, we are a small family business been in the industry for over 50 years and as you can see have an A+ rating with Revdex.com. We are sad that Mr [redacted] is a victim of manufactures not standing behind their products all fridges and freezers had a 5 year warranty on their sealed system up until a few years ago now they only offer 1 year. [redacted] did not misdiagnose the unit because if the compressor was bad at initial visit the entire evaporator would not have been completely iced over. Mr [redacted] Never contacted Fridge Clean And Repair Co nor [redacted] after second visit 4 and a half weeks later asking for a refund, Mr [redacted] agreed at the second visit 4 and a half weeks later out of warranty period it was fair not to be charged for second visit,labor,parts,tax, since it was another part failure and he understood it was out of our hands and other parts fail. We appreciate Mr [redacted] Business and that is why we went above and beyond for him. We unfortunately cant predict when another part may fail and when they do this close to one another it is unfortunate but we dont make or design the Refrigerators we only repair them if possible. Review: I used this business to repair my 3yo whirlpool gold refrigerator. I felt My refrigerator was misdiagnosed. The unit was making a buzzing noise coming from the back in the bottom which was the compressor. The technician came out and stated that it was the Computer board that was faulty in the unit. The board was replaced to the tune of $415.00 parts and labor after the first visit. In reality, it was the compressor that was bad. The compressor was making the same noise when the tech arrived on a second visit. He claimed that after the new board that was put in I would need a new compressor and that I would be better off getting a new fridge since the compressor would be too costly. I was not allowed any sort of refund. The parts were non returnable.I felt misled and misinformed by clean fridge and repair and would not recommend them to anyone.Desired Settlement: I would like some compensation for my issue.

I am rejecting this response because: The compressor was making the same "fail" noise before he showed up , after unit was diagnosed and board was fixed, and in the end when he told me the compressor was bad. So all along the compressor problem was never really addressed and always existed. The focus was only on the jazz board.
