This business is giving misleading informationThe mechanic (Mr ***) that was supposed to change my part was present as witnessI returned that parts in its original shape along with the receipt Initially the business objected that they have no return policyAfter going
through the warranty policy a copy of which is attached they agreed to issue a store creditI requested a cash refund because the warranty says it at the back of the receiptThere wasn't similar part in stock so I requested my cash refund. How can the store argue that I did not have a copy of my receipt? See the attached at the upper left hand cornerI presented this receipt alone with part description. It is not true on the part of the store and I need my Cash refund less their environmental fees

I would like to first state our warranty on electrical items sold at our recycled auto parts businessThis electrical
warranty is not just our business's warranty but it is an industry wide electrical warranty used by most recycling yards throughout the USAThe electrical warranty we offer is on the receipt of each electrical part we sell and our cashier ask that the customers read it and sign it at the point of sale
The warranty states "The electrical part you have purchased has a limited lifetime replacement warrantyThe part is warrantied against defects and will be replaced with same partNo cash or credit refund will be givenOur customer must provide the original receipt at time of the warranty claimIf we do not have a replacement part at the time of the warranty claim you will be issued an in-store creditThe credit is good for as long as you have the credit slipWe do not store credit slips in the system."
With knowing our warranty and knowing our customers are aware of the warranty before purchasing the parts our staff was only trying to help Matt by offering to take another route and charging the 20% restocking fee because normally they are not suppose to be refunding cash for electrical items regardless of the situationOn our other recycled parts we sell we do charge a 20% restocking fee for all accepted returnThis too is clearly on all receipts at the point of sale
In our industry we have some customers that will say anything to receive cash back on electrical itemsWe're not claiming this is the case but we want Matt to understand it's not easy to judge who is deserving of overruling our electrical warranty.The staff found it strange that it took days to return it and it made them suspiciousI did discuss it with them since I have gotten this complaintI coached them on how to come to a fair solution without accusing the customer of doing anything wrong and how to take care of the customers when we are at fault
We do have a compromise that may interest ***If *** can stop in with a receipt of the "New" alternator that he had to purchase as proof of his situation and the in store credit slip we issued him, we would be willing to refund his payment in full*** would have to ask for Alexia *** or myself to complete the transaction
We once again apologize for the inconvenience caused by this transaction and would like to make it up to *** somehow and continue to do business togetherPlease feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns
