estimate sent to her on December [redacted] (Later Approved by [redacted] December 9th 2014) "there will be 5-6 Dead trees removed". Many of which trees were in problematic areas. Overtop of power lines , near houses, etc. This was a $4,600 Line item from a complete package estimate of $24,300 for a fence installation the homeowner wanted. Which was supposed to start in April when she came up from Florida. As noted in her "Statement" she had other estimates for the work that needed to be preformed. [redacted] did her due diligence and chose our company based on price and reputation. Im not quite sure how after the fact of approving our work order she has the audacity to request her money back. All the trees were cut flush as she asked for and hauled off her property. It was best to wait until the ground was frozen to access the trees throughout her yard, as I advised her to do. Surprisingly there has been no false accusations, mentioning tire marks, ruts or other damage done by the equipment that was on her property.(Your welcome). [redacted] even thanked us for the work done and wished us a "prosperous year" after sending her an email Dated DECEMBER ** 2014, with pictures showing the trees that were taken down and her properties current clean state. In the end we exceeded her expectation by taking down a total of 10 trees from her property. 4 more than the estimated amount. Not charging her or asking her for additional monies. Its possible being from Florida, and buying property in NY that she did not know leaves fall from trees, branches fall during storms and furthermore that it Snows in the north east. Typically a homeowner maintains ones property to keep it aesthetically appeasing. All of which happened from the time her trees were taken down in December 2014 till when she arrived back in April 2015. I know its hard to believe that maintenance and yard work needs to be done on a piece of property after being absent for 5 months. Nevertheless all the work and some was preformed on [redacted]' property. Our company has all documentation to prove so. Why one would purposely intend to defraud a company after everything was done in contract, is beyond anything we can fathom. If this matter is pursued further we intend to sue [redacted] in civil court for the additional trees taken down, time spent disputing false allegation and all lawyer and court fees associated. I apologize for anyones time taken to read this complaint.

I read the response from Friedlander construction. There is a vast difference of opinion. I am looking at the quote from 12/*/14. It says 5 to 6 trees along fence line have to be removed. But when we spoke on the property it was discussed that there were other trees to be removed as well. They are stating they took 10 trees & removed them. In reality they took 8 trees & left them where they fell. They state there were trees near wires & there where. With the proper equipment they were removed easily.(by another service) I could understand their price for the removal of difficult trees but they left all the difficult ones & removed the easy to get to ones. Which should not have cost $575. a piece to remove. I should  have been told from the beginning that they didn't have the proper equipment to complete the job. I have all paperwork pertaining to this as well. I also have statements if needed by the contractor working on my property & the excavator who had to remove the mess that was left by the pond on the property. I unfortunately do not have pictures. It was stated that Friedlander couldn't get behind the pond to remove the trees. One tree was left hanging sideways with the rest all around it. [redacted] Friedlander didn't even know the condition of the property till I called him to come look when I returned. When I complained he seemed baffled. He should have been responsible to satisfy the situation. He couldn't get his guy out to do what needed to be done. I was starting a bigger project on the property & needed to have this taken care of. I had to use someone else to finish the job. I realize I really don't have enough proof to pursue this further. But I do want my dissatisfaction with this company it noted

Review: I bought property in NY. I want to put a fence around perimeter of property. I solicited fence companies. Friedlander Const. was one of the companies. There was also the matter of dead trees & unruly bushes along the fence line. [redacted] Friedlander said he could take care of trees. This was in Mid. November 2014. I met once more with [redacted] & his fellow who would be taking down the trees. There where close to 20 dead trees that needed to come down. I then left to go back to Florida for winter. [redacted] sent me an estimate for $4,600. I thought that was good for the amount of work needing to be done. I didn't really want to do the work till I came back in the spring. [redacted] convinced me it would be better to do this type of work when the ground was frozen. It would also prevent tree limbs & such from scattering all over during the winter months. I agreed & sent deposit. A couple of weeks later they contacted me work was done & they wanted final payment. I should have held off till I came back to property. Instead I paid them. When I came back in May 2015, it looked like nothing was done. They took down 8 trees, left it where it fell & called it done. The yard was a mess of fallen limbs & a tree fallen sideways & left like that. As soon as I got to town [redacted] was already calling to put me on their schedule to put up the fence. I wanted the tree situation taken care of before I gave them the ok to do any more work. They did not satisfy the issue. I had to get someone else to finish the tree job. 12 trees & all brush removed & cleared for $4,400. And of cause a different company to put up fence.Desired Settlement: I would like my money back because they did not do the work they promised & left my property in worse shape then it was already in. I had to pay twice for the service. I spoke with 4 other tree services. They all said the same thing. The work Friedlander Const. Did was only worth about $1,500 & that would have been if they stacked the downed trees neatly instead of leaving them where they fell.
