We had wood floors going down so we had him finish the jobWhen I got home I noticed little holes on the two ceilings in the living room and dining room and around the ceiling fan was not flat at allThese holes were from him using large amounts for compound and with this being a older house it’s too much weight for the ceilingsI contacted the contractor on Saturday October and told him about the problemsHe said he could not come on Monday he has an other job starting in *** it would have to be Tuesday or WednesdayHe showed up Monday 10am and we weren’t homeThen he said he could only come after wood floors were inThis would mean the painting and trim would have to go up over our new wood floors.he said he doesn’t need to lay any floor coverings down he would take his shoes off and this was unacceptable for usThen he chose to argue with me on the phoneHe also said he would drop off a $refundI told him to mail it which he never didI did tell him I would write a complaint the job was not done like discussed and I now have to pay someone to remove the kitchen ceilingI do not want this to happen to someone elseThanks

From: *** *** Sent: Monday, November 06, 2:PM To: *** Subject: [SPAM?] Popcorn ceiling, ID *** So I received the complaint letterI was called by ** *** for a quote to scrape popcorn in three rooms
made an appointment and we metAs I was inspecting ceiling notice that they had scraped the hallway and they were removing the paper of drywall which is improperSo upon explaining that I would scrape the ceilings and skim two coats of compound because the ceilings had been painted and it's very difficult to remove the popcorn without doing damage to drywall paper which is the integrity of drywall we agreed on 1800.00.for three roomsKitchenDinning room and living roomOn the very first day my cousin and I showed up and proceeded to start job as ** *** and his wife were in their room at end of hallWe put our drop cloths down covered all cabinets and mask any areas neededWe proceeded to start by scraping the ceilings and knocking down all high points of popcorn then took my sander with a vacuum on it keeps dust control to a minimum and sand down all ceilingsWhen that was completed we notice a big crack in kitchen ceiling that was cause by someone walking above on the ceiling trust and slipped and caused damageI took it upon myself to fix that area and rescrew the whole area which had dropped inch from ceiling joistRoughly a ft areaI pointed it out to ** *** and he said wow OK Thank youWe proceeded to put our first coat of skim which is compound on all three rooms. We cleaned up and said we will be back tomorrow. That same evening I got texted messages from ** *** stating that his wife isn't happy with kitchen area and that she didn't want us to continue in kitchenI have numerous message from ** *** stating she doesn't know what she's talking about etc, I'll leave at thatThe next morning I spoke with his wife and she said no on kitchen area but don't worry I'll still pay you in full it's me who doesn't want done like thisSo I said OK but we will credit you back she kept saying no I'll pay you in full I understand that the ceilings won't be perfect and I'm Ok with thatI said to her no the ceilings will be nice and smoothShe still didn't want it doneSo we proceeded to do our second coat in dinning are and living room put fans on and let it dryWe came on final day and sanded did our touch ups cleaned up and she proceeded to.pay in full which I did not except I told her that we scraped the ceiling in kitchen put first coat on and fixed your cracked area so please keep off balance which made my final.payment of 1600.00$That night ** *** called and said there was a couple area's that needed attention and started to be aggressive on the phone demanding me to get their asap etcI held my tounge as long as I could and told to him back off and stop giving ordersI said I would be there on Monday to repair the area's that needed attentionI came by on Monday and no one was homeAnother phone call was made and that's when all the threats started by ** *** that he would bash my company on social.media and report me to Revdex.com and othersI proceeded to ask him when can I come by I even said I would come and fix the area that evening and he proceeded to be aggressive and said I don't want you here I'm good I'm doneI said to him once again let's calm.down and fix the problem and he said no I'm good and I'm doneThere was no reasoning with.** ***Side note I have been doing this type of work for over thirty years and never had one complaint with any of my customersIf there were any issue's which it does happen the problem would always be taken care ofI take pride in what I doThere are many different steps on popcorn removal and the step I took for ** *** was proper. As even his painter said the two ceilings that was finished looked awesome, that's what *** *** told me and my cousin that the painter said
