I submitted a complaint regarding an experience with Friendly's Ice Cream in Watertown and I only got a phone call, not the desired refund.I complained about a poor experience I had at the Watertown, MA Friendly's location. I asked for a refund. The [redacted] of that store called me and left a sincere apology. While I do appreciate the time she took to call and apologize, I would still like a refund of the money I wasted here.A couple of years ago, I had the same problem with Friendly's and thought that taking a break from the restaurant would help, but nothing has changed.I would just like a refund.Desired SettlementI would just like the $30 I requested for the bad service and food.Business Response The guest was contacted and sent a letter and gift card.

Rude serviceWe were traveling thru South Florida and stopped at your Friendly's restaurant in Royal Palm Beach Florida store [redacted]We will never visit a Friendly's again due to the rude service from employee [redacted] . We placed an order for two Sundays and one strawberry shake, Twenty minutes later we are still waiting and your store was not busy. I ask to speak to the [redacted] and she was just as rude. For the price of your ice cream and the rude employes you hire why would we want to return .Desired SettlementOur bill came to $13.84 plus a tip of $1.00 for our to go order.Business' Initial Response Sent the consumer's complaint to our franchisee to make them aware of what happen so that re-training can take place. Sent the consumer an apology letter and gift card.

I went to friendlys one night and my bill was 31.75 however when I checked the bank they actually took out 41.75, when I called them to have the issue resolved the did not do anything about it. due to them taking out the extra $10 it made my account overdraft and charged me an over draft fee.Product_Or_Service: dinerDesired Settlementi would like a full refund for that night because they were not helpful at all and wouldn't give me the $10 back when I showed them my account information and brought my recite in.

Ordered takeout. Food was not ready, nor was it right. Service was horrible and rude.Address:[redacted], MA XXXXXI ordered Friendly's take out online. It gave me a time to pick the order up. I got there later then the estimated time and the food wasn't even ready yet. They asked me what I had ordered then started cooking it when I got there. The employees were standing around in the kitchen when the manager [redacted] saw that I was irritated. She came over and asked me again what I had ordered I told her and she got me my order. She then asked me what I ordered for ice cream I told her so she prepared them put them in a bag and I left. When I got home nothing was right right down to the condiments I had ordered. The ice creams we're completely wrong because she was going off memory when she made them. They put the food in containers that melt and make your food taste like plastic. I've had horrible experiences with them before what was always hoping they would improve. That's clearly not the case. In fact, they've gone completely down hill which is why so many of them are closing and going out of business.Desired SettlementI really don't know. I deadly I don't want to go back there. If I do it would be to dine in. A coupon would even be appreciated. Because of the horrible service I'll be dammed if I go into the Milford Friendly's again.Business Response

Selling gift cards knowing your going out of business.The [redacted] location sold me [redacted] in gift cards less than a month ago knowing they were going out of business and every location close to me is also out of business. Talked to an employee today and thy said that they new. Friendly's Corporation is still in business and want my [redacted] back - its only fair.Desired SettlementI want my [redacted] dollars back that I spent on useless gift cards - so wrong that you must have ripped off people knowing these locations were going to close ahead of time. Found online today, that they knew they were going to close the locations before the holidays.Business Response We have heard back from our franchisee on this and they have tried to contact this guest but have not received any return call so we are closing this on our end.

I went into Friendly's and ordered an ice cream. I told the man behind the counter I am severely allergic to nuts. I got my ice cream, and took a couple bites, and I found an almond in my Ice Cream. I went to the hospital due to a severe allergic reaction to the almond found in my food.Product_Or_Service: Ice CreamDesired SettlementI would like a refund, as well as compensation for my medical bills.,Business Response We are currently working with [redacted] to resolve the issue.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)The insurance company that Friendly's is associated with, is extremely rude. The woman that I have been speaking with about my claim, whose name is [redacted], is very unprofessional, and said I sound like a very "anxious and emotional person". She told me that I did not die, so she can not compensate me for the amount I wanted for pain and suffering, and if I had died " it would be a different story". Through out this whole ordeal, no one has apologized to me, in fact the company has been implying that it was my fault. [redacted], from the insurance company, told me after doing interviews with the Friendly's staff of Norwood MA, it turns out that they had just given me the wrong ice cream completely. The staff gave me almond chip after I told them I had a severe nut allergy. [redacted]'s response to this was "people make mistakes". This made me so angry, considering it was carelessness and you can not gamble with someone's life like that. This whole ordeal has been a nightmare.

Complaint1/2 gallon product containers have absolutely no seal. Found fingerprints and white substance in product containerCompany 1/2 gallon ice cream containers have NO seal of any kind. Bought 1/2 gallon and found fingerprints and white substance in latest purchase. Revdex.com & [redacted] should investigate. Finding attorney to handle our case.Desired SettlementExpecting the business to resolve container seal issue so that no one individual can access container in any retail or other location without breaking seal. Expecting company to contact us regarding publicizing this matter.Business Response We also received an e-mail from this consumer. The product seal needs to be approved by the [redacted] Coupons are not a satisfactory solution to this serious endangerment to the public.
