Regarding complaint [redacted] against Capital Foundation, I replied that I was satisfied with the response received from the business. I now read: What is the next step? Revdex.com has verified that the complaint has been resolved satisfactorily and now considers this complaint closed There is no action for you to take at this time. We will contact you when we next require your input. This complaint should not be closed. I responded to your email that I was satisfied that the company said that they will write the letter I need. I did not mean to imply that the problem is resolved. After I received your email, I immediately emailed the company and told [redacted] I was happy to hear that [redacted] will be providing the letter but to recall that I also needed a copy of the warranty. I have had no response and have received neither the letter nor the guarantee. This is the same lack of response I’ve had on this simple-to-cure issue and that I’ve struggled with for over a year and a half. It took [redacted] from December, 2014 to April, 2014 to do a small amount of warranty work. He ignored my requests for five months and only agreed to have his crew come out after his crew chief asked him to please get this problem out of the way. I’ve been requesting the letter and the guarantee (that I should have been given years ago upon the completion of his first repair) since then. If this complaint has been closed, please reopen it. I am rejecting this response because:[redacted] sold me a foundation repair with a transferrable lifetime warranty saying it would be good for as long as I needed it and for as long as anybody who bought my house would need it. I wouldn't have hired him otherwise. Now he provides me a warranty expiring in a few years. When I hired [redacted], I already had a lifetime warranty from Centex Foundation Repair. [redacted] convinced me that Centex's methods of repair are not reliable (in his opinion...an opinion not shared by many as I have sense learned), so I chose to hire [redacted] to re-do the foundation repair at my expense rather than go with Centex. It would not have made any sense for me to go with any company who doesn't warrant their repairs for lifetime as it is a very common practice. I regret ever having trusted [redacted] for anything.
