NEVER RECEIVED MY ORDER BUT I DID GET THE RUNAROUND.
I ordered a customized product in early July. The website promises the item in 2-3 weeks. Weeks went by. I checked my online account to see the same "In Process" status that had been listed since my order had been placed. I called. I was told that the product would take 6-8 weeks (not what the website says). Months went by. I called. I was told that the artist was on sick leave and the product wold be delayed. I understood this and I waited patiently. As more weeks and months went by I called several times. I was told that the status of my order would be checked and I would receive a return phone call. I never did. My emails to the company were answered with a short email stating, "We will be glad to check the status of this order!" and then nothing. When I called again in early December I was told by a woman who answered the phone, "I'm sure you'll have this by Christmas." Nope. I called again twice more in December. The man who answered said he would check on this and call me back. Nope. Still no product.
I originally ordered this product for my friend's housewarming party. At the party I was embarrassed that I didn't have the gift but I told my friend it would be on the way soon and that she would love it. Nope. I then set my sights on giving my friend the product as a back to school gift. Nope. I then set my sights on giving my friend the product for her birthday. Nope. I then set my sights on giving my friend the product for Christmas. Nope.
AFTER SEVEN MONTHS OF WAITING AND NOT RECEIVING HONEST OR ADEQUATE RESPONSES I finally cancelled my order. I received an email stating that the problem was beyond Frillseekers' control and that I would get a refund. While I understand that a sick artist is beyond the control of Frillseekers, I do not agree that their poor communications were beyond their control.
I called again today. The woman said they had told me that my order was "In Process" when I had called in earlier months. I told her that the "In Process" reassurance lost its' believability after the first few months of seeing that as the status on my online account with them but getting no further information. The woman told me that my order was cancelled and that it will be used as a display in the [redacted]. "IT EXISTS?" I asked. She was irritated that I asked this and told me, "Of course it does." I asked, "Then why can't I have it?" She said, "We have records of your phone calls and we have told you that it is in process." There are those words again...IN PROCESS. This is not reassuring. This does not serve as proof. This does not help me understand if the product has actually been started. This does not tell me that even if the product has been started that it will ever actually be finished or shipped.
Frillseekers has really cute items! But I suggest that you just print out the pictures of the items you like and keep them on a bulletin board because that's the only way you'll ever see them. Either that or you can visit the [redacted] and see your item months and months and months after you ordered it, you finally gave up on it, and then it is used for display in the [redacted].
I am waiting on my refund...and hoping it doesn't take an additional 7 months.
