Complaint: I am rejecting this response because:At this point in time, I would feel more comfortable with finishing the repairs elsewhereI have no issues with paying for the work you did complete but not all the work that the initial quote indicated which was not completedI would rather be refunded for the work that was indicated and agreed upon in the quote, yet not completed when the truck was receivedThe work that was complete from the quote was the painting the hood, painting inside of the hood, painting the roof of the car, resetting the left and right front panels, and lifting the dent from the right rear panelThe price per man hour was $per hour and there was hours completed for the work that was finished, a total of There was also $in paint and suppliesSo the total cost seems to be $1450, not the full $that was quoted for all work if completedThe work that was not finished was the completing the repairs on the dent on the rear right panel so it could be painted, repairing the hood with the small hail dents, painting the back right panel, and painting the left and right front panelsThis was a total of hours of work that was not completed, so at $per man hour it is a total of $I would prefer a refund of this amount for the work that was not completed when my truck was at your shop Regards, [redacted] ***

I would rather be refunded for the work that was indicated and agreed upon in the quote, yet not completed when the truck was received. The price per man hour was $52 per hour and there was 18 hours completed for the work that was finished, a total of 940. There was also $515 in paint and supplies. So the total cost seems to be $1450, not the full $2242 that was quoted for all work if completed. The work that was not finished was the completing the repairs on the dent on the rear right panel so it could be painted, repairing the hood with the small hail dents, painting the back right panel, and painting the left and right front panels. This was a total of 15 hours of work that was not completed, so at $52 per man hour it is a total of $800.00. I would prefer a refund of this amount for the work that was not completed when my truck was at your shop.

the Complaint Management System and I want toapologize for the delay in responding to your complaint.In regards to the misunderstanding of the charges and repairs done on your: 2005 Ford Ranger:When you came in to have an estimate done on your 2005 Ford Ranger,  I toldyou I could:1)       strip and refinish the hood, roof and the fenders.2)      Repair and refinish the right box side3)       Remove and Install all trim, emblems and nameplatesfor  $2200.You then asked what's the soonest I could schedule you in  and I told you itwould about 2 ½-3 months  before I could even schedule and start the repair.[redacted] you knew that I was just as busy as all the other shops you had beento but I  said I would make an effort  to squeeze you in and that I couldn'tguarantee that all the repairs we discussed would be completed by the timeyou needed your vehicle back because I was extremely busy. You then stated,that you were  more concerned with getting  the repairs done to the front ofthe vehicle verses the box/bed and that if everything wasn't completed bythe date we would discuss finishing the repairs when you were back  in town.I had also stated to you, as I do to all my customers, I guarantee allrepairs and services I do on your vehicle for as long as you own yourvehicle and if you are not happy at the time you pick your vehicle up or ifa problem or concern should arise, you may bring your vehicle back and Iwill fix the problem. I do extra repairs on your vehicle as well that Ididn't charge you for. For instance, the cowl, I stripped and repainted thatpiece because it was also peeling and wouldn't look right against the hood Istripped & painted.
