I am pleased to inform you that Frontier Motors and I have settled my complaint, *** Frontier Motors has agreed to reimburse me for half of the cost of the transmission, which is $847.50. So, please mark by case as being resolved

I did mention about taking the car to have it inspected, but the salesman, *** *** (one of the owner's sons) said his mechanic had inspected the car and it was in good shape. Awhile back, I helped my daughter buy a car from Frontier Motors, which was a positive experience. Therefore, I took *** at his word.
I did tell *** about the faulty transmission on the same day that I paid off the car (10-28-14)
Whoever wrote the business response did it anonymously I believe *** ***, another owner's son, is its author since he spoke directly with me
*** made no offer for Frontier Motors to sell any transmission at cost for me. But he did said something about maybe getting a small discount on a another used transmission from the salvage yard- the same company hat sold the bad transmission to them. *** definitely did not offer to help me with the labor of installing the transmission either. *** kept saying that the car was sold without a warranty and wouldn't budge in offering any help

It has been years since we made a purchase hereWe are now looking to upgrade our Mercury Mountaineer, I only wish they had the vehicle we were looking forI had such a great experience there, and with the vehicle ever sinceI have never been so pleased with a car buying experienceIf, they had the vehicle we were looking for I would drive down to Pensacola, Fl, from Virginia Beach VAThey were super friendly, pretty honest, and they were not pushy at allNot sure if it's the same staff today but I'm sure and hope you get the same experienceWe also had looked around several other dealers for this vehicle in that price range

The salesman that helped my family [redacted] was extremely helpful in not only getting the right vehicles for us but educating us on realistic expectations on what we could afford and what we could not. I appreciate the honesty of Frontier Motors from the sales department all the way to the finance office with [redacted]. Sometimes the truth is hard to hear, especially when other dealerships tell you that you can get whatever you want. These people actually care about you after the sale and that is rare. I'm excited about my purchase, and to know that I won't be broke because of it is refreshing.

[redacted] bought a vehicle from us on 9/22/2014. We did replace the transmission in the 2004 [redacted] with a used transmission on 07/15/2014. Frontier Motors was provided a 90 warranty on the transmission parts, no labor, when we purchased the transmission. We allow the customer to test...

drive our vehicles before purchasing, as well as allowing the customer to have it checked out by a third party. [redacted] did take us up on this offer and had a third party check out the vehicle for him. He did not bring any issues up about the vehicle before he purchased the vehicle from us.
Merle came back in to pick up his title and he expressed an issue when taking off in the car, I had our mechanic drive the vehicle with the customer and he let me know that it might be a problem with the transmission. We offered to let our third party transmission shop look at the vehicle for [redacted] and give us an assessment of what was wrong with the vehicle. Atter the transmission shop drove the vehicle they informed us that the transmission did have a problem. [redacted] did buy the vehicle AS-IS from us, as shown by the buyers guide that he signed, so I informed him that he would have no coverage from us but Frontier Motors might have parts coverage still on the transmission. I talked with the used car part dealer and he informed me that the warranty was out on the part but might be able to help Frontier Motors out on a warranty claim on the transmission. I informed [redacted] at the time that I might be able to get an extension on the warranty from the used part dealer. The next day I was told by the used transmission dealer that he was not able to help Frontier Motors out with a claim on the transmission, l relayed the message to [redacted] that unfortunately the warranty on the transmission had expired and were not able to help him with a warranty claim on the transmission. I then offered to help [redacted] with getting a new transmission at our cost and helping him on labor with our dealer price. He informed me that he did not know what he wanted to do and might trade the vehicle in.
