This is in reference to Mrs***'s move early January, id: ***.I gave Ms*** an estimate in December about movingI told her that the owner of the business was going on vacation the first of JanuaryMs*** agreed to move at the end of December so the owner could be
there on the job Ms*** called us at the last moment and told us that hat the bank that was handling the sell of her house was having difficulty of the closing date and she had insisted on moving the first of JanuaryI told her ok that I would send the men to move her, but I reminded her that Mr*** would not be there because he was going on vacation.On moving date, it had been raining day before, and day of.Because the ground was wet, *** the driver, put down a carpet runner on the downstairs entrance, but not going up off the steps, because that is a hazardMs*** told us that the men got mud on her carpetAs for the lampshade, it did get crushed on the truck because it was not packedMs*** did all of her packing, but failed to pack the lampshadesAs I told Ms***, we do not keep boxes on truck unless the shipper requests them, which she did notAs for the bathroom, one of our guys unfortunately did get sickHe told us that he used up all of the toilet paper, I guess that the toilet got stopped up, and yes he should had cleaned it up, but did he know that it had backed up.As for the small wooden box, the handle fell off while in transport. Ms*** had asked me to store a piano in our storage because we were going to deliver it to her son in D.CWhen our men finished her move, not only did they show up with a piano, but a large sofa, and a box as well to storeThe owners of the storage sent Ms*** a bill for $to cover the cost of storageI had to pay the owners $for the storage space so I deducted that from the $that Ms*** had demanded Last Friday, I sent her a check for $and the bill.In closing, Ms*** still has of our furniture pads which were used on her furnitureI attempted to pick them up yesterday because she had told me to, and they were not where she had told me they were going to beI did tell her that they were $each.Since this occasion, she has emailed me numerous times with some nasty words.*** ***
