On July 28, 2016 around 21:40, I went to Frozen Yogurt Express for a triple chocolate yogurt flurry. I asked that the flurry be made with pecans and caramel. The person at the register repeated triple chocolate with pecans and caramel. She asked me would I like a small or a large, the only sizes flurry's come in. I told her large. I paid, and she said that I could have a seat as it was made. I didn't sit down, the bag was already on the counter. That was too quick, so I asked was it a flurry. Another person told me that it was not, and that they read off what I asked for to me. She said I should have asked for a flurry. I told her I did. She said the cashier repeated the order and there's nothing she can do. She told me if I now want a flurry that I can spend more money and purchase one. I kept telling her that I did ask for a flurry. She said that I did not, because they repeated my order and that she would not make me a flurry unless I bought one. I asked for a refund. She said that they do not know how to give refunds, to come back the next day and ask the owner for a refund. I was given a card with a name on it. I called, but it was ringing from inside the store. They closed the glass doors. There were four females working inside. They were laughing and making a mock of the situation. I came back and asked her how hard was it to just mix what she already made. She said that I was being rude, and that she was no longer willing to deal with me. She suggested I contact the owner. I asked the lady at the store to give me her name. She told me she was not giving me her name. I then proceeded to call the police. The police had them to contact the owner, and the owner told them to make me the flurry. At that point, there was too much animosity. I did not feel comfortable eating anything they would prepare. I told them that I do not trust them, and please refund me. The next morning I called the owner. She called me back. I've been a customer of the owner since they had a mobile trailer in Illinois. I traveled to Indiana for a treat. I always get a flurry. Never has anyone messed up my order in nearly 20 years. So it saddens me to write this. I was harassed and belittled. The owner told me that she would follow up with me again that day, after she watches the surveillance video of that time period. No response back. Because the police had to be involved for me to be refunded, I want other consumer's to know. If it ever happens again, this needs to be documented to show a pattern. The behavior of her staff member was hateful. No one should be treated the way I was treated. The impression I was given was that I was not a welcomed customer and they don't care if I ever come back. And for nearly 20 years I've been going there. I gave this business consistent money throughout the years. I have brought friends and family to them. It saddens me that I won't be back, and that they don't want me there. I shouldn't have to say that I was not behaving negatively, when certain consumers never have to explain that. Very hateful employee working there. Simply full of hate and anger. The ordeal was truly humiliating.
