Frugal Kitchens & Cabinets Reviews (6)

In Frugal Kitchens & Cabinets installed a beautiful kitchen, which came with a year warranty In March I contacted them to secure paint to match my cabinets because our dog has scratched a few places After multiple emails and phone calls, it is July and promises come and go, but I still do not have the touch up kit that I want to buy I wish they would tell me where to buy it, I'll go myself I also sent the office manager pictures of how the top trim of the cabinets has come loose from the wall in one sectionShe told me that they don't fix that because it's a common problem The office manager is always polite, but I am a very frustrated customer

My wife and I decided rather than move that we would update our 1980's home with new interior paint throughout, new floors and a new kitchenAnd by new kitchen, we meant tear it out all the way to the subfloor and wall board, new cabinets, counter tops and appliancesWe contracted with Frugal kitchens after meeting with John in their Roswell office and working with him on a layoutWe were impressed with Frugal from the beginning to the endEverything was handled expertly by Frugal, and when I say everything, I mean everything from the design by John, to keeping us informed as to the timetable by Sam, to the in-home confirmation of measurements, to the tear-out and cabinet install by Mike, to the granite selection and the expert and beautiful installation by *** Granite of Tyrone, Georgia, to the work by *** Plumbing and the mechanical and electrical contractors, to the tile artistry by George, to the final walk-through by Richard, to final finishing touches by Jeff each contractor was timely, courteous, called to let us know when they were coming, cleaned up after themselves and treated us and our home as they would treat their family and homeI cannot say enough positive things about this company and their whole process, which only took four days not five, including that Frugal needs to give lessons to other companies about quality control, customer care and subcontractor selectionOur three bathrooms are next and we know exactly who we are going to call - Frugal Kitchens and Cabinets!

We are pleased with our kitchen and our bathroom cabinets so far With that said, I cannot in good faith EVER recommend this company Hind sight is 20/20, so I guess when I heard the owner of the company, Richard ***, complaining about a client the first time I met him, that should've set off alarms They do get you a working kitchen in days, and the people who actually do the install and other details were a delight to work with Things happen, and there will be a missing cabinet, door, or something is damaged BUT, don't dare call and ask for an update on when you can expect to receive those, or you'll get yelled at or spoken to rudely (took weeks to complete a bathroom vanity) I'm not sure why "for your peace of mind" was chosen for a slogan for this company, because it is not ever anything we experienced Although Mr*** surrounds himself with kind and professional employees, he himself doesn't have good customer service skills In fact, he is quick to blow his top and practically yell As a customer, I don't expect daily updates on details, but do expect common courtesy It's not here In the end, my husband and I are really disappointed in this company

I purchased a kitchen package from Frugal Kitchens In January I notified Frugal Kitchens that I had issues with some of the doors splitting and stain being uneven (Covered under warranty) They have been out to my house times and to date only cabinet door has been replaced I followed up in September and October via email and phone and Frugal Kitchens will not respond to my status inquiries

Contractor that Frugal used to install our cabinets did a horrible job. Handles drilled into the wood inches away from where they needed to be. We had a punch list of up to 50 items that needed to be addressed. I wish this site would let you post photos of the work these people did so that anyone who is thinking of using Frugal could see their work! I should of known when they disconnected my dishwasher and flooded my wood floors with water it was only the start of a disappointing project.
We were assured that they would fix all the issues after they received their second installment. Trust me this never happened...They had trim pieces shipped to our house to replace the uneven top pieces and then refused to install them... Drawers that they so called fixed come completely out when opened.
The owner Richard called my Husband and threatened him that if we didn't pay our remaining balance (1558.00) of a almost 20,000.00 bill that he would lien our house.
I would not recommend this contractor to anyone. The " trust Dale" motto these people use must be paid for advertisement...

Heed the warnings of the other reviews and move on. The stress involved with this company and it's "principal" are not worth it. This is too large of an expense to be treated like we were treated and according to Richard, my wife was at fault for what went wrong with the install. Need I say more?
