I met with the clients wife on numerou s times discussing what she would like for our company to doHer job location was over an hour away from my home base and she would call me several times a week wanting me to meet with herEvery time we met which was more then she would change her mind on exactly what she wanted doneI also spent hours on the phone with her discussing plans with her.When I though we finally came to term s'there were individual job s that were to be done for the client which I billed separately.Job # Was a clean up of clients rental propertyThis consisted of removal of several logs that were buried in the back yard, rock s removed , bricks removed, pavers taken up and removed , cinder block s removed a 10' x 7' shed removed and deposed ofA total weight ofpound s of debri was disposed and dumped Job also included removal of begonia bushes with root ball, removal of2, foot tall palm s and removal of stumpsentire front and backyard was removed of weeds and grass and sprayed with weed killerCharge for Job # l $client paid for job .Job #Lay weed barrier that was to be supplied by client along with staples to hold barrier in place & spread 1/in stone in front and backyard.Client was advised not to get weed barrier becau se it does not prevent weedsIt was explained to her that weeds can still get through the barrier and all along the edges of the sidesShe insisted she wanted barri er down anywayShe was told then she would need to purchase staples along with the barrier in order to hold the barrier in place along the middle , and sides while being installedClient agreed and said she would.When we arrived at the job site we discovered the stone ordered was incorrectThe client did not order the stone that was discussed nor did she purchase the staples that was discussed ..Our installers had a problem installing the weed barrier because of winds, it took them an extra hours longer then normalThe barrier had to be installed a few strips at a time because no staples and windsA bobcat was rented to spread the stone which was almost times the size that was discussedIt was heavier and again it took us extra time to spread the stone.While the crew was working on the job the wife arrived on the job siteShe was told that the stone that was delivered was not what was discussed in our meetingShe called the stone supplier and be advised her that she did order the " stoneNot the 1/2"-3/4" stone we talked about a few weeks beforeWhile she was at the site she questioned why the stone was not level with the driveway and sidewalk, [redacted] explained to her that because of the size stone she ordered the stone would not sit level with the sidewalk & drivewayIn order for that to happen the yard would need to have approximately inches of dirt taken out and he could not do thatShe would have to hire someone with the proper equipment to do it and he does not run that type of equipment.He told her that with the bob cat he did scrape the yard as best he could before he started laying the barrier but that was the best he could do with what she supplied him withShe said ok and leftWe continued to dump and spread stone in the front and proceeded to the back and did the same process except for where the pavers for job were to be installedOrange paint was sprayed to outline the area of the patio for paversAll the stone that would fit the back and front yard was dumped and spread and the sun was starting to set so we decided to load the bob cat on the trailer before dark and call it a nightTherese owners mom called client and told her that we were wrapping up things for the dayShe said ok and she would be right overWhen she arrived we were still loading the bob caton the trailer and Therese was sweeping the driveway and sidewalk of loose stoneTheclient asked about how much stone was left from the job, Therese told her approximately a tonAt this point we told her we would be back the next day and asked her for $which was the cost of job #She said ok and paid.Job #Install patio 1OxClient added pavers along side the sidewalk which was not discussed in original agreement [redacted] agreed to do the pavers at no additional charge.When we originally met, we agreed that the client would order 6x6, 6x9, & 3xpaversThis is what we agreed to order so I could do the pattern match when I was planning the patioI also suggested to the clients wife when we met that the pavers should either be cemented in with concrete, or she could purchase plastic paver edgingI told her she could get the edging and I would install it, but either process would be an additional costShe said no she already spent to much she did not want to do either.When we got to the job site the pavers that were there were the incorrect sizeThey were 6x6, 12x12, & 6xI had to take an additional 1/hours to figure out a pattern to be laye4d because the pavers were not the correct size and could not be laid as originally plannedWe spread down the base for the pavers which is called 1/minusThis stops the pavers from moving, sinking, or sliding out of placeIt is a procedure for installation of pavers for a patioWe had 1/of the job installed when both clients the husband & wife showed up at the job siteThe husband stated he wanted all borders of the pavers concreted inIt was explained to him that extra work needed to be done in order for the pavers to be concreted in at this pointMeaning most of the pavers already installed would have to be pulled back up concreted in and then reinstalledThe husband also stated he wanted to add pavers going down the driveway and wanted them to be concerted in placeHe inspected the stone at this point and questioned if the stone was going to be graded out [redacted] told him yes it was not graded yet but would be upon completion of the job [redacted] explained he would have to get the extra supplies for what the customer wanted and he would not be able to be back until after December 1st sometime because he reminded him he was going on vacationClients leftWe cleaned job up because at this point we could do no more because of the changes so we left Wife called and spoke to Therese on 11/22/asking when [redacted] would be back to complete job #She reminded her again that [redacted] was going on vacation and would not be back until after December 1stShe also explained to her that with the additional supplies, and work that her husband added to the job would be an additional fee of $She said ok and hung upShe called back minutes later and said they were doneThey did not need our services anymoreTherese said ok and hung upHusband called back on 12/3/left voicemailHe stated he would like a phone call back to get work scheduled and have a refund returned to himTherese returned his call approximately an hour laterShe explained to him that his wife said she was done with us and no longer needed our servicesHe said he did not have a chance until today 12/to inspect the job and he was not happy with what he sawTherese told him this was not true because he was at the job site inspected the stone asked questions at the same time he added additional work to the jobTherese explained to him that it has been almost two weeks since his wife called and said they were done with usHe said he wanted us to move and fix what he felt was wrong and refund him moneyTherese told him that we would not be refunding him any money and we wouldn't not be doing any work for him especially if he was unhappy with our servicesHe threatened her that he would belittle our company and spread bad business about us all over [redacted] and report us to the Revdex.com if we did not satisfy him and do his work and give him a refundTherese told him to do what he had to do have a nice day and they hung up.We performed more work then what we got paid forWe don't feel that any refund is due to these peopleThe job was not complete because it was their decision to end our services back on 11/22/
