I called this company to deliver 100 gal. of oil. Instead, the driver supposedly over pumped 69 extra gal. and is trying to charge me for the delivery persons mistake. Not only that I did not get notified of this over pump until they mailed me my receipt in the mail 2 weeks later. Why did it take so long to notify me of this mistake? I tried contacting company with no response. I called again and finally spoke with the [redacted] and all he could say was that he is doing me a favor giving me the oil at a cheaper price. I believe I should not only not pay for it but how do I truly know a over pump was ever made to my home. They send me a letter stating that they can come and pump out what they over pumped but if that was the case why didn't they do that when they realized they over pumped in the first place. Please someone help me resolve this problem that has stressed me all these months.Product_Or_Service: OilDesired SettlementI would like a mediator to resolve my problem as the company seems to think that they can harass me by stating that they will take me to court and know that they will win because they have done this before.Business Response #XXXXX The driver did make a mistake and over pumped 69 gallons. I sent a a copy of the delivery ticket with the meter clearly showing that she did get that amount of oil. Occasionally the driver does make a mistake and pump more then he should.I offered to remove the oil or charge her a reduced price with liberal terms to pay for it since it was delivered almost five months ago. Even once in away I have a customer who will look for an excuse not to pay for our mistake. When this happens I take legal action to resolve it. I explained this to MS [redacted] that I have been successful in the court especially if I have offered a reduced price. Which I did. It is always in the customers best interest to use the court's mediator to try to resolve the problem since if the customer loses in court there will be a judgment on record with the credit reporting bureaus. The court does have mediators. This case will be filed in court shortly.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)The response is unacceptable If I was a owner of a Co. that allowed these types of mistakes to take place I will not allow this to happen as frequently as this co. is stating it does. As a consumer I have the right to refuse to pay for services that were not ordered. My record will show that I have been with this company for a very long time and they have never had to worry about me paying them at time of delivery. Since they have chosen to go this route I will never use them again and warn people of this type of practice at there company.
