inspection. The customers son looked at the car several weeks earlier and left a deposit on it. He came back two weeks later and left more money. The car was sitting for about three weeks from the initial deposit. Due to sitting the rear tires did lose some air and the battery was weak from not being run. The customer showed up without notice on a Tuesday afternoon to pick up the car. The customer started complaining about the tires and battery and we told her it does happen when vehicles sit for an extended period of time. We took the car to our shop and replaced the rear tires which did not have to be done but we did to satisfy the customer. While it was there we replaced the battery with a good used one and replaced both belts on the engine. We returned the car to the customer then she complained about a window not working on it. She asked if I could give her a warranty instead of fixing the window which I couldn't because the car did not qualify for a warranty due to the price was less than $2000. I told her I would take another $100 off for the window and she said that was fine. She never once asked me about a refund while I was there but I did come in late from the auction. So to satisfy her we replaced the belts, Rear tires and battery and she was fine with that. I personally drove the car along with several other people here and the transmission and clutch functioned properly. When the customers son drove off in the car we could tell he was not familiar with driving a manual transmission. As he pulled out he was slipping the clutch pretty bad and my employee and I looked at each other and said that clutch won't last long if he drives it like that. When the father called us he was very rude with me on the phone. I offered to help with it and he didn't want to hear anything. After a long discussion in which the father kept trying to twist words on me I offered him the following deal. I told him if he gets the vehicle towed to my shop we will take it apart at no cost. If there was something broken in the transmission we would buy the car back. If there was evidence of the clutch being burned up from an inexperienced driver he would be responsible. I never heard back after I made that offer which I thought was more than fair. About two days later I received an email from the mother(see attachment) which stated that she logged a complaint with the Revdex.com and the PA attorney general. I can't do more than what I offered to do by looking at the vehicle and seeing what the problem is. Please see the attachments concerning this deal. Thank you, Thomas N[redacted]

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved]
 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: Once again Mr. N[redacted]'s response is untrue.  Yes I did put in complaints to the Revdex.com and the attorney general because of his initial response, which was, "bring the car here and we will look at it, if it's the transmission, we will discuss it".  Once again he disregards the fact that the car he sold us, although it may have passed emissions testing, the transmission was not in working order.  I have offered to allow my mechanic to open up the transmission, at MY EXPENSE, to find out exactly what is wrong and he will not agree to it!  I guess because he knows he sold my son a car that is not roadworthy from the start! Now, he is rescinding his offer!! When he is honest with his response, I will be happy to accept it.
Regards,
[redacted]

This customer purchased a 2005 [redacted] from us on 9/13/14. She was in a few days before to look at the vehicle and test drive it. She came back on 9/13 to test drive it again. She then asked if she could take it to a mechanic to have it checked out which she did. The mechanic gave it a clean...

bill of health. The vehicle was PA state inspected a few weeks prior to her purchase. This [redacted] was purchased at an auction from a [redacted] dealer located in Easton, PA. There was never any announcement about a different engine as I am sure they were unaware of it. I am sure if it really does have a different engine it was done by one of its previous owners and there is no way to tell that this has been done. There are lots of vehicles on the streets that have different engines and transmissions in them especially when you get into older, High mileage vehicles such as this. I personally drove this vehicle back from the auction with no problems. I never told her this was my neighbors vehicle and it was well maintained. I lent this vehicle to a friend of mine who is not a neighbor as she claims. He used it while his van was in the shop and put about 650 miles on it over three weeks. That is what I told her when purchasing it.  From the time I purchased it to the time she took delivery we had put 743 miles on it with no signs of a head gasket problem. She purchased this vehilce over $1000 below book value. She also was offered the chance to purchase a warranty that would have covered this problem but she declined to do so. She signed in three different spots that she purchased the vehicle AS IS. As a dealer I sold her a good running vehicle that was PA state inspected for one year and had no known issues at the time of sale. There are no laws against selling a vehicle with a different engine as she claims because many vehicles are repaired like ths. I am sure if the motor was from a 2003 that had only 20k miles on it she would not have any problem with that. There is no way I can verify that every car I buy has the original engine or transmission in it. Attached is all of the paperwork that she signed when purchasing the vehicle. She also claims that she called us four days later which is incorrect. She purchased the [redacted] 0n 9/13 and the first call we got was on 9/29. The first time I called her back after receiving the message I tried to talk to her husband and he just hung up on me. I called back and she answered and was very rude on the phone and would not let me explain anything to her. Please feel free to contact me back with any questions. Thanks

Once again I will respond to this complaint. The car, A 2003 [redacted] was purchased from us on 8/18/15. The customer left us a deposit about three weeks earlier. The car sat for those three weeks and the battery went dead and the tires went low. On 8/18./15 they showed up with no notice to pick up the car. They complained about the tires and battery. We took the car to our shop and replaced the two rear tires which didn't need it but we did them anyway. We replaced the battery with a good used battery. We even changed the belts on the car which made some noise when first started.  The car left our lot with good PA safety and emissions inspections and was totally street worthy. On 8/21/15 the customer called us and informed us there was a problem with the car. They had it towed to their shop and then the father called us on Saturday 8/22/15. After a 30 minute conversation in which he tried to to twist my words constantly I made him an offer on the phone and I have four witnesses who were here to hear the conversation. I told him that if he gets the car to our shop we would take it apart and look at it. I also told him at that time that if it were a transmission problem that we would refund the money on the car. I also told him that if it was a burned out clutch from his son not knowing how to drive it or from abuse that he would have to pay for a clutch job. I made this offer which I feel was fair and he stated that he would not trust us. I told him he could be here when it comes apart if he wanted and that is where the conversation ended. I made this offer on 8/22/15 to avoid having complainants like this one and the one they made to the PA attorney general. I received an email on 8/25/15 at 6:51 which is three days after the conversation stating that they are making complaints with the Revdex.com and the PA attorney general. We never had the chance to look at the car and since these complaints have been made I will be rescinding my offer to look at the car and buy it back. The customer states that they don't trust me and I honestly don't trust them and their mechanic.  Thanks for your time, Tom N[redacted] owner Fuelin Fine auto sales inc.

Review: I purchased what I was told was a 2005 [redacted] with 161,000 miles, the title states this as well as the vin number. The business told me that his neighbor owned the truck and he knew it well and it was well taken care of. After the purchase it took it to a mechanic for a small leak on an engine valve. My mechanic told me the head gasket was cracked and the engine was a 2003 not a 2005 and that there is no way to know how many miles on it, I called the dealer to inform that the engine is not a 2005 and the owner tom told me that he bought the truck at an auction, when I said you told me your neihbor had the car and you bought it from them he suddenly was silent. I told him the title states that the truck was a 2005 and had a 161,000 miles on it but that is not true and we don't know how many miles it has on it now, his response was oh well no one knows. my mechanice told me due to the engine being a different year that would have had to be revealed to me before the saale and the title should have been marked salavage, the owner of the business told me oh wellDesired Settlement: I have now spent 1,700 to replace the head gasket and I want a 2005 engine since that is what I purchased yet did not receive. He knowingly deceived me and should be out of business! My research shows you cannot sell a used car without an accurate odometer reading or I believe a cracked head gasket and to add insult to injury my 2005 [redacted] is only a 2005 body, the internal part(the own that matters) is 2 years older!
