This complaint from [redacted] was answered directly with her Although I am not positive on the exact dates, Ms [redacted] contacted our office directly on or around the same time as filing with the Revdex.comHer call was immediately returned and her concerns were discussed with her I went over our point of view on the matter and offered to revisit the property It is sometimes difficult to understand concerns such as this without viewing in person, as well as matching up the report with the homeHowever, Ms [redacted] declined this offer, instead asking for a refund as her only method of resolving this issue.During the inspection process, we make every effort to give our clients the information needed to make a more informed purchase decision Typically, we make note of all major defects within the home and point out the smaller ones when reasonable to do so The particular home that was inspected for Ms [redacted] was a 100+ year old home that has had little to no updating of the systems in many decades Several major defects existed on the property, as well as numerous minor defects within each system of the home Our inspection report detailed the major defects and touched on many of the minor ones as well It was not reasonable to believe that our report could detail every minor deficiency within this particular home, as they were too numerous and redundant to list individually Instead, we commented on the overall condition of each of the systems For example: Ms [redacted] listed a plumbing issue that she believes was not detailed in the report, as her plumber used specific wording different from the wording used in our report The plumbing issue in question refers to the waste piping During the inspection, we observed and noted that the older cast iron waste piping was in poor condition, the wording we used was "cracked, deteriorated, and leaking" and we recommended replacement as necessary We observed this older piping to be in poor condition throughout the basement and the visible portion of the stack (basement to the roof) It wasn't possible to individually list each area where it was leaking because it was numerous Therefore, we had to use a broader statement.I do believe that given the condition of this home, our company provided the best possible inspection and report within the given amount of time I believe that we put Ms [redacted] in a more informed position, as our report details all major defects, some minor defects, and gives an opinion of the overall condition of each system I do not feel that a refund of the inspection fee is warranted However, our company makes every effort to keep an amicable relationship with our clients, therefore we would be willing to meet Ms [redacted] in the middle and offer her a partial refund.Sincerely, [redacted] Full Disclosure Home Inspections, IncBald Hill RoadWarwick, Rhode Island [redacted] [redacted] [redacted]

I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does satisfy my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint #[redacted]. I understand that by choosing to accept the business response that my complaint will be closed as resolved. I would like to accept the partial refund and close the complaint, I am just unsure how. Can someone help me?
