out a sample of a gauge metal panel of which I told was the only coil the manufacturer had and of which she okay-edIn the Process of installing Mrs*** made several unfavorable comments about the color not matching exactly the color of the shutters, and that her friends commented to her that the color was uglyWhen Mr*** returned home we both went over the entire roof together and besides one issue with a pipe boot he was totally satisfied and even asked if I could give him an estimate on his Storage BuildingI did not hear from him for months at which time he stated that the original estimate was for gauge not gauge which I then told him I told him if it was a problem I would refund him the difference between the cost of the two metalsHe refused and insisted I remove the roof I installed and replace it with a new one all at my costThe roof has been on for two years now and has had no issues and is still warrantied for more yearsAll of our metal roofs including gauge metal made it through Katrina

a sample of a 29 gauge metal panel of which I told was the only coil the manufacturer had and of which she okay-ed. In the Process of installing Mrs. [redacted] made several unfavorable comments about the color not matching exactly the color of the shutters, and that her friends commented to her that the color was ugly. When Mr. [redacted] returned home we both went over the entire roof together and besides one issue with a pipe boot he was totally satisfied and even asked if I could give him an estimate on his Storage Building. I did not hear from him for 6 months at which time he stated that the original estimate was for 26 gauge not 29 gauge which I then told him I told him if it was a problem I would refund him the difference between the cost of the two metals. He refused and insisted I remove the roof I installed and replace it with a new one all at my cost. The roof has been on for two years now and has had no issues and is still warrantied for 18 more years. All of our metal roofs including 29 gauge metal made it through Katrina.

After trying to talk to Mr. [redacted] and trying to calm him down and tell him I was in his neighborhood and could get someone out to his house to look at the problem and try to work out the problem he began cussing me out and talking ( as he has before to my wife, my men and myself.) First of all...

there is no law ( THANK GOD ) that says I , my wife or any of my employees have to accept verbal abuse from anyone. Second of all I installed his roof in 2005 as he correctly stated, so my five year workmanship warranty I gave is over. When my wife informed him there would be a charge to come out and find the problem he became irate and didn't call back for a month. After he called other roofers to come out. At which time I told him I will be there as soon as I finish the work I have on the books. I cannot tell a crew of 5 men they have to take the day off so one man can go find a problem. As far as using his house for free to advertise my business. That should tell you what kind of disposition me and my men have to deal with. They actually don't want to see him after the way they were treated before. I have the right to put any of my workmanship up on my website to show what I have done. He thinks I should pay him for advertising. Maybe if he could understand the reason people like his roof is because of our workmanship not his ego. Twelve years after I put the roof on many storms have passed through and anything could be causing the leak. Maybe the reason no one wanted to even attempt to fix his roof was his way of talking down to people. By the way I too am a proud veteran of the U.S.M.C. and so are most of my friends and a whole lot of my family. I am also 65 years old and a senior citizen but I will never use either of those accomplishments to make other people feel sorry for me. I reached out to him and swallowed my pride but I will not have anyone cuss me out in return and call my wife a liar and talk down to my employees.

I am not going to listen to this mans lies anylonger. I have done nothing wrong. And if anyone who reads this complaint does not see the ridiculousness of this mans complaint than I am sorry. I will not go near this man. The type of roof I put on this mans home is the best money can buy and worth a lot more than the money he paid. The only threats made were his in a loud profane and condescending manner to me , my wife and employees. I only hope he decides to bring me to court so it will be on public record how wrong he is. I will no longer answer to this mans mad unsubstantiated claims.

I am rejecting this response because: There is no truth to the response.  The leak started in Sept. 2016, and I called the phone number to see if he would come out and fix it.  I spoke to his wife and she called him.  He told her that I would have to put up a deposit of $400. before he would come out.  I called back and told his wife I would give her my credit card to charge the $400. on and she stated that she did not have the machine to process it, he had it.  I told her to have him call me for the card info and he never called back.  I have NEVER cursed or talked nasty to his wife or any of his employees, in fact, I paid them extra to make me an additional cover that was not part of the contract.  He called me last night and was angry that I filed a complaint with the Revdex.com.  He said he would come out but I had to be patient.  The few times he answered my phone calls, he kept saying he just needed two or three weeks more.  I reminded he that it has been 9 months that I have been patient and my ceiling in my bedroom is hanging down, I have to put a bucket under the leak, and it looks like I have black mold.  Last night, he said it was unreasonable of me to expect him to take one man off a job to fix my roof.  He said he was working on a house nearby and came by my house but saw no car in the driveway so he didn't stop.  I told him I park my car in my garage.  He could have called me as he knows that I am retired.  He then threatened me that I had to remove the complaint from the Revdex.com site first or he would not fix the leak.  He inferred that in eleven years I only had one leak as if I should be happy.  When you pay over $35,000 for a roof you expect it to last more than 11 years.  I never asked him to pay me for advertising my h0use on his web site.  He has told me so many lies, I don't believe anything he says.  All I want is for my roof leak to be fixed and I will pay him because no other company will fix a roof that he put on.  I am in a situation where I can only get the roof leak fixed by him and all I get from him are lies that he will come out in two or three weeks.  It's been nine months that I have waited patiently.  I don't think I am being unreasonable in asking him to fix the leak so I can fix my bedroom ceiling and get on with my life.  I have given him several recommendations in the past but after this I will not recommend him in the future.
