Full Service Van Lines Reviews (20)

After posting a request for move service online I was basically harassed by tons of moversI spoke with at least different companies and was able to weed out the bad ones right awaymovers were all bad mouthing each other it was interesting really but soon just got annoyingHonestly Full Service Van Lines was the ONLY mover that didn't do thatThey were not pushy but asked tons of important questions regarding my moveRight away I got the impression they wanted my move to go well for both parties involved! I was picked up then delivered in a timely manner as promisedNo added charges! I will be recommending Full Service! [redacted] **

We recently hired Full Service Van Lines (FSVL) for our move from Columbus, Ohio to Harrison, Idaho We had a horrible experience with this company We read good reviews on the internet for it I called them, a guy named [redacted] quoted a very reasonable price of $3, After comparing prices and reviews from two or three other companies, we decided to go with FSVL because of their low price and good reviewsIt turns out to be a big mistakeNot only that we ended up paying them twice as much, but the worst part is that it took almost TWO MONTHS for them to deliver our goods, weeks past the maximum delay of business days as required by the US department of transportation I wrote an email to the general manager of FSVL [redacted] ) complaining about the situation and never got a replyTheir dispatch manager [redacted] promised to refund us money to compensate for the delay It is now two weeks after the delivery and I have yet to hear from him

RUN FROM THIS COMPANY!!! They never sent anyone to the house to look at the job, just gave us an estimateThey arrived hrs late!!The actual price of the move turned out to be approximately doubled!!!They were told it was a very large house! They sent men to move this huge house!!! OMG! They were supposed to arrive between 9-amThey did not arrive until 3:pm! They did not know there were certain roads they could not go on with a moving truck! Hello??? How could they NOT know, if they are professionals?? They did not start packing until 5:p.m, and the second part of the packing crew never showed upThey put an ad out calling for people to show up and help them, when the second crew didn't show up! Again, is this professional? At a.m they quit packing for the night and had to return the following day! While the men who did pack up wre wonderful, management is totally inprofessional a d unorganized, a shown by the fact that only men showd up to move and the scramb

This is my 5th corporate move with my family Needless to say I am a pro at moving long distance! My sister referred Full Service to me after she used them this past yearMy wife and I confirmed everything we were moving and made revisions to our inventory along the wayThere were things in question that we were not sure were going I was given a binding not to exceed move cost with a locked in rate per cf That impressed me because all my past moves ended up with pricing and rates fluctuating out of controlAnyway, I am exhausted but thankful for a move well planned and well done by Full Service Van Lines Team of dedicated employeesI have already recommended them to some coworkers who are coordinating with Full Service now so they will also right reviews on the service providedI was picked up and delivered timely with no hasslesMoving is never pleasant but I am grateful I used FSVL!!

Honest companies still existUpon doing my research- I was confident in Full Service Van Lines to handle the transport of my mothers furnitureI had gotten lower quotes - but I feel you get what you pay for when it comes to the service industry..I was surprised that there wasn't more positive reviews on their yelp, but I always trust my first instinct, and as usual, I am glad I didWith my moms recent misfortunes in health, it was important to find a company with tact, experience, and honesty, all of which I found during my processMy price was honored and things were a breezeNothing was broken, which was a huge concern I hadI would definitely recommend you to my friends and any other family members who are movingKeep up the hard work!

I hired this company after reading good reviews for Full Service Van LinesI paid thousand dollar extra compare to other company just because of the reviewsFirst they raise the price based on that my night stands and arms chairs are too bigDriver and pickup crew came in one hour lateMy stuff was picked up on June 19th, as the truck was in the areaUp till today (June 28th, 2015) my stuff is still sitting in HoustonI talked to Shawn in dispatch and customer service department and everyday they will have different excuseMy first delivery date was June 27th, which is already passedI requested them several times that I need my stuff before July 6th as I have to travel because of work but I don't think so they will even deliver before thatI am not sure what to do now as they have taken more than percent payment as well as have my stuff

I moved from boynton bch fl to orlando fl the last week of May I had a great experience with full service van lines I was quoted to move me and that I
had CF to use for my belongings after the load they refunded me dollars because I only used CF ! I would use this company again for my move

Full Service Van Lines provided me with the best move service I have ever hadI have moved many times nationwide with my company but this time I was able to choose my own moverWhen I first called Full Service Van Lines I was immediately impressed with the sales repShe was professional, had pride in the service she was selling, and was genuinely happy to helpThe communication was great by phone and email I was always able to contact someoneI was picked up as promised within the pick up date spread and delivered on time as well which was impressive for this time of year in peak move seasonI was given an inclusive price right off the bat and that is what I paid even though I added items I purchased prior to pick upI can't thank you enough for the great move experience Full Service VL! I will definitely recommend you!

This is the second move we have made with Full Service Van LinesThey were recommended from a friend who used them and they gave me an organized - professional move service The entire reservation process was awesome and I felt like my rep really wanted the move to go wellShe was very detail oriented!

This has been the best move experience ever! I have moved 7 times in the past 10yrs.. Needless to say, I was terrified to work with movers again. My company offered to pay a portion of the move which enticed me to hire a mover as opposed to doing it myself. A friend had used Full Service Van Lines in the past and recommended I give them a call. I had already spoken to 2 other companies but once I contacted FSVL I was immediately more comfortable working with them. The sales staff was very caring, easy to get hold of, and took a lot of time working with me to put me at ease. Once I booked I was still able to work with my assigned rep every time I needed something or had a question. I was loaded and delivered within 8 days. I got everything I was promised and ended up paying less for my move because the cf ended up being less. I will refer Full Service to everyone that is moving! They did a great job! [redacted]

I have moved many times in my life, and this was by far the worst moving experience I have ever had. My wife hired Full Service Van Lines this summer to move her from Chicago to Charleston, SC. We were recently married and had been living apart for a year until she could join me. It started off poorly and in retrospect I wish we would have canceled right off the bat.

Our scheduled pick up date was July 30 and my wife had a flight to leave Chicago on July 31. After keeping my wife in the dark on her moving day, they called late in the evening on July 30 to say that they would not be able to come that day at all. They picked up her stuff the next day but she had to change her flight which cost us a few hundred extra dollars and caused a lot of stress.

Our delivery date was August 3rd in Charleston. They didn't meet this date and they didn't even come close. When we called to get information on the status of our move, we were routinely put on hold for 5+ minutes, given an excuse as to why the stuff had not yet arrived (the driver is sick, etc), told that our stuff would arrive the next week (which wouldn't happen), and told that we would be called back by the dispatcher with an update on where our stuff was (which never happened).

I honestly thought that we would never see 85% of my wife's personal belongings ever again. Finally, after having my attorney contact Full Service Van Lines, and after over two months of having no idea where our stuff was or the status of our move, we got a call that it would arrive in the next two days. At this point I got the contact information of our driver and was able to get in touch with him which was a huge relief. The move was delivered on October 6th, two months and three days after the expected delivery date.

I was so happy that the move arrived at all it nearly negated the fact that a bookshelf and mirror were completely smashed and our bedframe was just lost. The driver told me that he would get in contact with the office to inform them of the broken/missing items, and that I would be getting a call from them to talk about compensation (which was $0.60 per pound). Of course I never heard anything from them and I don't expect to ever see the measly compensation of $60 dollars or so that they owe us for the broken/lost items.

It isn't possible to get a discount for broken contracts (the contract states they have to deliver in 30 days) or broken items because they won't unload your stuff until they have cash in hand covering the remaining balance on the delivery day - they have your stuff held hostage and there is nothing you can do.

After about a month of not knowing where our stuff was, I did some research and found out all kinds of shady stuff about this company - they own multiple review websites where they are rated highly, have offered people cash to take down yelp reviews, and the owner of the company has a brother who is banned from ever running a moving business again in the state of Florida due to the number of complaints to the state government from entire loads being lost/shady business practices, etc.

I am extremely thankful that we ended up receiving our stuff and that our moving saga is over. The next time I move I will be personally driving the truck.

Moving with the Full Service Van Lines (FSVL) was the worst moving experience I ever had. They are UNRELIABLE, UNETHICAL, INCOMPETENT, IRRESPONSIBLE with very poor customer service, repeated lies, arrogant and rude (especially [redacted] - the manager, president of the company). Delivery of my household goods (from east coast to west coast) took 64 days with damaged boxes and furnitures, broken items, despite the specific statements in the contract saying that the delivery will be done in 10 - 16 days and "no later than 21 days from the actual pick up date." During the entire period after paying the initial deposit until the actual delivery, there was not even one single phone call or e-mail initiated by them. I made numerous phone calls. So often they did not even answer the phone calls or hung up on me. The FSVL is not capable of inter-states moving; they seem to be at the mercy of other carriers.

I chose the FSVL despite of their higher charges based on the online review ratings. Later I found out many of the online reviews are fake, and FSVL even offered money to the reviewers to remove their negative reviews. Who knows what they did to get the positive reviews.

For the pick up, after many phone calls from me and a few delays, a dispatcher told me that they did not have a truck to pick up my belongings. He asked me to rent a U-Haul and drive and keep it at my place so that their truck driver could pick up my belongings and move them to their storage. Yes, the moving company FSVL ASKED ME TO RENT a U-Haul and DRIVE it to my place FOR THEM!!!! I refused, and the next day a truck driver in a FSVL t-shirts came in a U-Haul with 2 helpers who were hired from the Craiglist in the morning. One of them was a young inexperienced female and she struggled hard in moving things and asked me pain killer pills.

Having FSVL deliver my belongings was a real nightmare. When I called FSVL to find out delivery date and reminded them the delivery date specified in the contract, all the staff ([redacted], [redacted]) told me that they do not work in such a time frame. They told me that they needed to find a carrier. They said "White Glove" carrier, and then "White Glove Delivery", and then "Arrow Delivery." They kept changing the carrier's name and the delivery date. This company does not have their own truck to move and they are at the mercy of other carriers.
During the waiting period of over 2 months, I was told that my belongings are in "their own storage" which is, according to their advertisement, "temperature controlled and air conditioned." But, this was a LIE - mine was stored at a Public Self Storage. FALSE ADVERTISEMENT and LIES. During this agonizing period I read so many negative reviews against this company which were very consistent with my experience. I became very concerned under severe stress, so called Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (XXX-XXX-XXXX) and learned that this company's DOT had been revoked and then reinstated on July 20, 2015. This means at the time when they picked up mine (June) their DOT was invalid.
After this terrible experience I cannot understand how our society let such an unethical company run the business.

After taking quotes from a few places and thoroughly searching online reviews, I chose Full Service Van Lines to take care of my family move from Maryland to Florida.
My sales point of contact was [redacted], who was very friendly and always willing to help. I spent nearly an hour with [redacted] on the phone as I walked around my house and described a full inventory of what I wanted to be moved. As the weeks up to the move passed, I continuously updated the inventory for things we sold or forgot to put on etc. My quote was $4,500 including packing for 950 cubic feet.
I was very insistent in my quote that the pickup must be on a specific day. This was key in the planning of my move. I was less concerned with delivery date, but I asked for 3 days after collection.
2 days before collection, my order was handed to a driver by dispatch and he contacted me stating he would be there on the morning of my requested day (Friday).
Sure enough, at 8:30am two local 3rd party guys showed up, with 2 employees in a Full Service Van Lines truck arriving shortly after. The guys were friendly and definitely did a good job. Shortly after seeing everything, the driver warned me that it looked closer to 1200 cubic feet. Each cubic foot above my quote would be billed at $4.75 (my original rate). I offered my disappointment, as the only things to be packed were those quoted.
When the truck was finally loaded I was informed that I had taken 1500 cubic feet, which would cost me an additional $2500 from that originally quoted. This was 50% extra from the original quote. At this point I said I would remove some large items that I felt had not been efficiently packed, like desks and tables that could have been broken down and flattened. In the end I settled with the driver on $1900, and a Monday delivery promise, which was reasonable taking everything into account. I then paid 50% of remaining bill by personal check, with the final 50% payable on collection.
Monday rolls around and 1 hour before expected delivery I have Full Service Accounts Administrator [redacted] on the phone, stating my personal check had not cleared from Friday, therefore I would have to pay cash (over $5k owing at this point) to get delivery that day. Now I should have thought about this before using a check, I don’t blame the company for their stance on this matter. In the end [redacted] managed to get an OK from the manager to deliver my possessions after I had a Bank of America associate in the local branch assure her the money was going to be good. Realistically the check I gave them could have bounced the next day, so I do appreciate the service provided by [redacted].
After the office gave them the ok, the same crew and van arrived at my house and smoothly delivered every single item in the exact condition it left my old house. I gave them the cashier’s check for the remaining balance and they were on their way.
Long story short, the physical service was excellent, Friday pick up and Monday delivery 1000 miles away, not one item was damaged. However, the original quote was way off and I advise anybody to firstly quote on the high side when giving an inventory and also take the time to dismantle any furniture yourself or demand the movers do it to save cubic feet on the truck. I have a suspicion that every moving company operates in a similar manner, as they have to quote low to get custom.

After posting a request for move service online I was basically harassed by tons of movers. I spoke with at least 5 different companies and was able to weed out the bad ones right away. movers were all bad mouthing each other it was interesting really but soon just got annoying. Honestly Full Service Van Lines was the ONLY mover that didn't do that. They were not pushy but asked tons of important questions regarding my move. Right away I got the impression they wanted my move to go well for both parties involved! I was picked up then delivered in a timely manner as promised. No added charges! I will be recommending Full Service! [redacted]

I have to take a few minutes to thank Full Service Van Lines for such a great move experience! They were referred to me by a friend but I still proceeded to get 3 estimates. I find it difficult to believe some of the negative reviews are legitimate because I could not be happier! Sales was always knowledgeable and motivated to help. I rarely see a group of people take such pride in their company and their profession. I was very stressed about the move but FSVL was patient with me and offered advice, etc.. My sales rep was always available for me around the clock so I felt important. On pick up my items were carefully loaded and I was able to see exactly what my volume was right then! Now that I have been delivered,,, I will highly recommend FSVL!! [redacted]

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!
I could not have imagined our move going any worse. At this point, we WOULD NOT recommend this company to anyone we know. Our hope is that this experience will never again happen to another customer. We were forced to pay $5,000 to get our things delivered (basically a hostage situation). Series of events are outlined below in case anyone is curious.
• When scheduling our move, we were informed that the job would be completed between Tuesday and Thursday. The driver ended up arriving at 9pm on Thursday (we were closing on this house Fri at 8 am) BY HIMSELF
• We were told a "moving team with no less than 3-5 years of experience with the company Full Service Van Lines" would complete the job. ONE MOVER arrive to complete the job and he told us that this was his first run with Full Service Van Lines and he had been called at the last minute to "fit us in".
• We were forced to help the ONE mover and worked continuously through the night and day. We packed from 9:30pm on Thursday to 6:30am on Friday, went to close on the house for a couple hours, and then again from 10:30am to 7:30 pm (Friday). This was a total of 18 hours. The new owners sat in the driveway and waited for us to finish- HOW EMBARRASSING.
• I was forced to go purchase more moving materials at Walmart and Lowes. I have never heard of a home owner purchasing their own boxes, etc after ordering a FULL SERVICE MOVE.
• When I called the office and told them that the job was unsatisfactory, all I was told was "give me 5 minutes." I was never called back after this call. We called the main office multiple times on Thursday and Friday and nothing was done to remedy the imminent situation.
• Because we had to pack ourselves in a rush, we ended up using additional square footage. In the end, we were expected to pay extra for all the additional cubic feet used. This was APPALLING after the terrible service we experienced.
• I was told the owner would call me Monday morning because we could not agree upon a price before the mover drove away. I never received a call.
At this points, we are driving across the nation and expect to have our things dropped off beginning of July, per the contract.
• We realize that we are being lied to and no one knows where our stuff is. Dispatch manager even say, " yeah I don't know what happened to your truck." He blames us for the delay.
• I called the driver to ask about our belongings. He informs us that our belongings are in an undisclosed storage unit in Savannah, GA. He said only he can sign them out and only he knows the location. He told me that Full Service Van lines refused to pay him and filed criminal charges against him.
• We file police reports at our local police station. We are bounced around between police stations because of the nature of the situation (4 states involved and our belongings crossed many state lines).
• We finally get the location and name of the storage unit from the driver. I call the manager of the storage unit and negotiate with the driver to release our belongings (since only he can sign them out at this point).
• We are told by dispatch that a driver will deliver our things the following week, when we get them released. I speak to the woman manager about legal ramifications and she tells me personally, "You SHOULD sue the company and take Full Service Van Lines to court".
JULY 9th, 2015
• Receive first call by owner!!!! He says our things will be delivered soon but we would have to agree on a price.

• Saturday at about 3 PM we are told we need to present $5000 in cashiers checks if we want our truck unloaded. All banks are closed at this point and we are forced to borrow money.
• 2 new drivers arrive Sunday morning. They unload the truck and do an excellent job. We are forced to pay them $5000 for the job with no additional negotiations from the owner. WE ARE BULLIED INTO PAYING A CORRUPT & unprofessional COMPANY FOR ALL OF OUR POSSESSIONS.

We recently hired Full Service Van Lines (FSVL) for our move from Columbus, Ohio to Harrison, Idaho. We had a horrible experience with this company. We read good reviews on the internet for it. I called them, a guy named [redacted] quoted a very reasonable price of $3,300. After comparing prices and reviews from two or three other companies, we decided to go with FSVL because of their low price and good reviews. It turns out to be a big mistake. Not only that we ended up paying them twice as much, but the worst part is that it took almost TWO MONTHS for them to deliver our goods, weeks past the maximum delay of 30 business days as required by the US department of transportation. I wrote an email to the general manager of FSVL [redacted]) complaining about the situation and never got a reply. Their dispatch manager [redacted] promised to refund us money to compensate for the delay. It is now two weeks after the delivery and I have yet to hear from him.

My co-worker recommended full Service Van Lines. I have had 2 terrible move experiences already. I was terrified to deal with a mover again. I called Full Service Van Lines to get an estimate. They were very professional and confident in their service. My sales rep was easy to contact anytime I had questions or concerns. I did get 2 other estimates but was way more comfortable when speaking to FSVL reps. I had a great move experience! They gave me a price based on the items I told them I was moving and that is what I paid. The crews were great, hard working and respectful. I honestly have no complaints. I will recommend Full Service VL to everyone that is moving! Thanks so much Full Service VL! [redacted]
