I had a great experience with Ed, Roger, and the Good News guys They work with SMUD to make the financing really easy, and the prices were a lot lower than I was expecting Since Roger handled all the SMUD paperwork, I got a year financing through them and didnt have to put any money down on getting work started, so this was a no brainer My previous windows were original from (ranch style home, single pane windows), and these actually keep the Sacramento summer heat out Last summer I bought my house, and had to run the AC almost 24/to keep my house still around degrees After getting these new windows, I haven't needed to run the AC at all, except for a handful of times I'm looking forward to not freezing my bolas off this winter and running the heater 24/(literally) I have several huge windows, and sliding glass doors and it only took Good News days to finish, which was incredible It was all really easy to do and not a hassle at all with the preparation, work, and cleanup, and the time it took surprised me, my parents, and friends I've told If price is holding you back, they did my whole house for less than $10k and its financed through SMUD over years so the payments are low, and cost just about as much as what I'm saving so far on my electric bill, so price is not a reason to hold off

BAD NEWS! Let me tell you how this guy Ed H*** rollsHe sells you replacement windows and tells you they have a lifetime warrantyBUT, his installation only carries a year warrantyWell, at about years (I'll bet you purchased windows from him believing you would have something durable for decades!!) the caulking he puts around his installation has gone bad, and now rain has infiltrated the structure of your home, causing thousands of dollars worth of damage that a building contractor is qualified to fixWhen Good News installs, they pull the original window frames the contractor that built your house put inAND THIS destroys the moisture barrier that was engineered into the original buildIf you call Ed H*** on this, he will show up and tell you the failure of his lousy installation is a "maintenance issue" that you caused by not spending time and money micro-managing the caulking he put downHis bead of caulking is the ONLY thing protecting your house from water damage and dry rotIf you want to replace your windows, either have a general contractor install "new construction" windows, or go to a replacement window company that has good installation protocol and practices like *** ** ***, or *** *** *** ***And, hey, don't believe the Good News nice guy fcedil;ade hereIt is a sales pitch, pure and simple, and you have been connedGood luck - and do not use this guy
