As stated by the complainant, *** *** ***, this firm was first retained by *** *** for estate planning*** *** paid the initial retainer by credit cardSubsequently, *** *** canceled the retainer on advice of a divorce attorneyUpon notice of the cancellation, the firm agreed to refund
the retainer (less credit card processing fees) by chèck*** *** requested that the check be sent to his daughter since he was going to be but of the country for the next few months*** *** advised that he would email his daughter's information for issuance of the check.Apparently *** *** sent an email with the information on January 10, (email attached)However, that email never reached me since it went into the junk mail folder, (most likely because of the different email server used by *** *** from previous emailsPlease note that prior emails were sent from a gmail account whereas the January 10, email was sent from “***”, a foreign domain that probably caused the email mailNot knowing that *** *** had sent me the email, I was waiting to be diverted to junk to receive the information from him regarding his daughter's name and address, assuming he had not had achance to send it due to the traveling.After receiving the Revdex.com complaint, the issue was investigated to the discovery ofthe email in the junk mail folderThe refund check has been issued and ane email explaining the circumstances has been sent to *** ***.Please let me know if you require additional informationThank you.
