Fullerton Village Apartments

Review: The manager of this apartment named [redacted] is someone who will make certain that she gets your money right away!!!! On June 30, there was a 3 bedroom apartment that was available and we were interested. On July 1, she asked for a $35 credit check fee for each person above 18 years old who will occupy the apartment. Yet on the paperwork, only 1 applicant signature is reflected and she went ahead and collected $105 for credit check. When the credit check turned out positively, she asked for a holding deposit of $200 and the paperwork says it will be returned within 72 hours (until July 4) if the applicant changes mind about renting the apartment. We were having second thoughts so we asked for the money order back on July 3 but [redacted] said she can give us time to think until the 15th of July and will hold the apartment for us and that she will not encash the money order. Come July 14, she calls and reminds us that we are scheduled to move in on July 15. After we told her that we were not interested anymore and we want the money order back, she claims she can't find it and that it will not be returned to us anyway since it has passed 72 hours since the time the money order was given (July 1) VERY DECEITFUL AS FAR AS LURING APPLICANTS JUST TO COLLECT MONEY AND THEN CHANGES HER STORY AND DENIES ANY VERBAL AGREEMENT THAT HAS TAKEN PLACE.BEWARE OF THE MANAGEMENT OF THIS APARTMENT!!!! EVEN CORPORATE OFFICE WILL NOT ENTERTAIN ANY CONCERN OF CONSUMER.Desired Settlement: Return the $200 holding deposit that we gave since we were retrieving it on July 3 yet [redacted] the Apartment Manager said we could still hold the apartment until July 15 and that she will let us think about it a bit more. The paperwork also clearly states that the holding deposit will be returned within 72 hours if the applicant changes mind. It was very clear that we had changed our mind since we went there on July to get the money order back.
