In response to Mr. [redacted]'s complaint to the Revdex.com on: Mr. [redacted] towed his 2003 Ford F250 to my shop at 15311 39th Avenue NE, Marysville, WA 98271 on June 20, 2017. The truck was in very questionable condition upon arrival.  To include but not limited to:  the ignition had...

been drilled out (to include metal shavings on the floor) and several pieces were obviously missing from the engine from first visual examination of it's arrival.  I was unable to do an actual diagnosis as it didn't run and was in pieces. I discovered fuel in the cylinders and in the oil.  I explained the truck needed new injectors as they were visibly in poor condition. Mr. [redacted] agreed to replacing the injectors and necessary parts to put it back together.  Mr. [redacted] requested I replace the head gaskets and head studs.  I recommended he put new heads on as just the new gaskets and studs would not be a good idea.  He insisted I do as he requested even after I informed him I would not warranty the performance of the motor and he agreed; therefore I did the work requested.  Upon completion I returned the truck and it was misfiring so I looked into it.  There was a misfire in one of the cylinders and it could either be from a cracked head or from a bad piston and rings. Mr. [redacted] was very displeased so I offered to replace the heads at no charge but due to my schedule, I did not have the time to complete this repair. I had it towed per his request to another mechanic's shop and I paid for the labor and parts to this mechanic to complete the suggested repair.  Mr. [redacted] harassed this mechanic until he was done with it.  Unfortunately, this too, did not solve the issue and the problem lies within the lower engine; therefore needing a new engine.  Mr. [redacted] claims he 'put enough' money into it.  I did all the work that was requested by Mr. [redacted] and covered the cost of the heads I provided and the labor of the other mechanic that completed the work. The problem with the motor lies in the bottom end and is not something I repaired. The repairs that I made to this truck did not affect the lower end of the motor and was something that was damaged prior to arrival. I can't warranty repairs or damaged parts I didn't fix or replace. Mr. [redacted] showed up to my new shop and threatened to 'ruin' me.  I suggested Mr. [redacted] take the truck to another mechanic for a second opinion as I would no longer work on his truck .  I do not know if he has followed through with my suggestion.  He has, however, posted comments on my business Facebook page and filed this complaint.  He claims I do not warranty my work.  This is very much untrue.  I have many customers that would tell you, I stand behind my work.  I have not had to fulfill any warranty request on my work as my customers trust my suggestions and have the work performed that I suggest upon diagnosing their vehicles and leave my shop happy with the performance of their trucks.   Sincerely, Josh Z[redacted] Fully-Lit LLC 877-331-7153
