In response to the complaint received by [redacted] ***, the customer dropped their vehicle off for removal of a broken windshield and installation of a used windshield on 6/1/15.We completed the job and advised the customer it would be best if they let the vehicle sit for a few hours so the eurethane could finish dryingThe customer picked the vehicle up after hours that eveningThey returned to our business the next morning stating they were upset that we scratched their vehicleWe indicated that we were not aware we caused any damage and certainly if we did, we would take care of itMr [redacted] took our Mechanic and Shop Manager out to his vehicle and pointed out superficial scratches on the vehicle that were no where in the vicinity in which we were performing our workThe customer had no complaints on the windshield or surrounding area in which we were workingThe complaintants wife was with him and they were both very beligerant to our staffThey indicated they are bikers and are with [redacted] CyclesThe wife proceeded to point out different areas of concernShe found a few black spots on the car that she pointed out asserting that it was windshield eurethaneIt wiped right off so it certainly was not eurethane but more likely debris from the road as it had rained through the night and they drove the vehicle hereShe proceeded to walk around the vehicle asking what each little speck was on her vehicle, including the bird droppings on her hoodThe complainants wife called the next day again and spoke with the Shop ManagerWe again told her the scratches she pointed out were not in the vicinity in which we were working and did not occur hereThe area in which we were working with razors and cut out tools was undamagedShe then went on to say that the windshield does not fit the vehicleWe explained they make one windshield to flt that vehicle which fits a 1993- [redacted] or [redacted] We asked her to bring the car up so she could show us her area of concern and she refusedThe black putty they see is windshield eurethane which anyone that installs the windshield would have to use or it will leakThere has been no indication that the windshield leaksWe explained that we do repairs as well as body work and painting at our shop and we are very diligent about protecting the interests of our customers and their vehiclesWe told her if she in fact found that we missed a spot of eurethane during our clean up of the job to bring it up and we would take care of it, she responded by stating"I don't want you working on my [redacted] car." Certainly, we have encountered situations where we have caused damage while working on a vehicleIt happens to anyone in this businessWe have made the situation right everytime we were at faultWe perform numerous windshield installs and very seldom have any issues with themAfter viewing the vehicle, we maintain the position that the windshield we installed did not cause scratches to the front bumper, rear fender, hood and other areas of the car where we were not performing work as the complaintant indicatedUnfortunately, it appears as though this customer is fishing to get a free paint jobWe will not assume liability for this issue as we find no validity to their complaint and the customer is being entirely uncooperativeThank you for bringing these concerns to our attentionWe pride ourselves on customer service and take these matters very seriously

We are writing in
response to a complaint received on 7/14/17, complaint # ***Customer purchased an Alternator for a *** *** on 7/7/Our policies are clearly posted in multiple locations of our customer area advising that the policy is that there are no refunds on
electrical partsThis is not just a policy within our facility but considered an industry standardIn this situation, our practice is to advise the customer we cannot give
refunds on electrical parts however, we will get them a replacement part if
they feel the originally purchased part was faultyWe are very clear and up front with our customers of
the policy on electrical purchasesUnfortunately, it is not unusual that
people do not have their vehicles properly assessed by a licensed mechanic and when the electrical part does not fix
their problem, they just want to return it and are not interested in the offer of a replacement partDue to the fact that we warranty our parts, we obviously in good
faith cannot resell electrical parts that are returned,
even if we are told that the part is good but was not their issue as we
don't know how the part may have been jeopardized while the customer works to resolve unknown electrical issuesThe alternator purchased has a day warranty so we would be happy to get a replacement alternator for the customer in exchange for the unit they originally purchasedThank
you for your prompt attention to this matterSteven W

Revdex.com spoke to Steven at business and the following was relayed: The vehicle was brought in here for timingThere was a corrosion issue with the fuse box, we replaced and the issue of the lights all being on was resolvedThey brought it back for a stalling issue which we thought might be taken care of by replacing the engine fuse box but further testing led to a problem with the computerThey did not believe, it was brought to and confirmed by the *** dealer that it needs the computer replacedThis is not from anything that was done here and their vehicle is currently at the *** dealerThey still have the loaner car I provided

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
Fulton Auto salvage did call my husband *** to tell him that the *** dealer ship was able to use there diagnostic testing to figure out that it was the PCM that has gone bad! Its not that either of us didnt believe them! so we did call the *** dealer ship to clarify things up! we wanted to see what they thought it went bad along with how much it was going to cost us! They then told us that sometimes even though the PCM says its bad they can replace the compestator not sure if I'm saying it rightbut they said sometimes by replacing that it fixes the problemso we went ahead and told the *** dealer ship to go ahead and fix thatmy only problem is that I don't mind paying or having Fulton auto salvage fix the PCM but they have several times now told me that the problem was just the fuse box and the timing chain obviously needed to be replacedso we paid thinking $exact to have those problems fixedthey told me that was all that was wrong minus I think a few spark plugs which was not a big deal so we paid cause they said it would be done! they then told me that it needed a crank sensor, they fixed that still my truck was still the sameso there for that crank sensor probably didn't need to be fixedthen they told me it was the cam sensornope that was not the problemthe problem was that the timing chain they ordered from ***, well *** gave them the wrong one! so they replaced the cam sensor and crank sensor charging me $for the crank sensor, and $for the cam sensor and I can almost guarantee that neither of those actually needed to be fixthere for they charged me for something that didn't need to actually be fixed cause the problem all along was with the timing chain! after that was all done with and they got my vehicle to finally start on there own they told me that it was doing something still cant remember what as they spoke to my husband so my husband gave them permission to fix the idle air control valve costing us another $72.88! so I payed them another $for these parts as I was told that my vehicle is finally running and all set to be picked up! when I arrived that day to pick my vehicle up on 10/22/i was advised when I walked in from there mechanic that they was some chugging but that was because they reset the computer but it would take a few days of running the vehicle for that to go away! here is were the problem iswhy would they give me my vehicle back knowing that there was chugging? they had already once thought the PCM was bad that is why they brought our truck to *** in ***! where Shapiro detected that the PCM at the time was fine! they have done so much to our vehicle, that there is no way that they can tell if it was on there end that made the PCM bad! theirs no way to tell why the PCM might be bad! again though I don't mind them fixing it or replacing itnot sure how to say this with out being rude or misleadingbut I have paid enough for part all I want the truck to be fixed the right way! I'm sick of this being a guessing game and continuing to be charged for things! If they fix the PCM and it solves all the problem then great ill pay! but if they replace the PCM and my vehicle still stalls and chugs then I refuse to pay for the PCM! If no one knows exactly what is wrong and how to exactly fix it then they need to refund me my money so we can be on our way to having it fixed by someone else! My husband as of Monday has lost his job cause he can no longer use the pick up truck to hall the deacon for his job! there for they had no choice but to let him go as there is nothing else for him to do! They have already replaced him! and now our family is hurting for money and my husband is job less! I cant keep paying for things when it doesn't solve the problem! I'm not rich! I paid $cause I thought that job was done! I paid that extra $cause again I thought this was over! its not its like living in a night mare that no matter what you cant get out of! Its stressful! Steven has been very pleasant through out this experiencei am thankful for that! he has been very reasonable! the other ladies at the counter not so much! one got rowdy with us, and the other told me that the more complaints made through the Revdex.com regarding this situation then its going to back fire on me and I honestly feel that exactly that is happening! again I do believe them the PCM needs to be replaced but I am not paying till I know that the PCM was indeed the problem and that replacing that and only that solved the problemthen I will pay! i'm not going to continue to pay for parts if it does not resolve the problem, if the PCM does not solve the problem then they can put the old one back on and continue to figure it out, or again refund us our money so we can get this problem solved somewhere else! and I hope this doesn't back fire on me!
Regards,

We are writing in response to a complaint received on 10-7-16, complaint # [redacted]. Customer [redacted] brought her [redacted] pick up in for repair of an electrical issue, which was causing numerous dash lights to come on. The parts were obtained and this issue was remedied. We were also asked to...

install a new timing chain assembly. We received these new parts and installed them into the vehicle. The vehicle was not running as well as we expected it to upon completion of the job. Our mechanic spent numerous hours trying to figure out why it was not running as it should have been. Fulton Auto towed the vehicle to the [redacted] Dealership twice to assess why the new parts did not improve the performance. The [redacted] Dealership assessed the vehicle and after their second assessment, found that the tone ring for the timing that was sent to us with the new parts was in fact defective. Fulton Auto Salvage purchased another tone ring and installed it and the vehicle is now running as we expected. During the entire time we were working to get their vehicle running properly, we were in communication with the customer. The customer appeared to understand that we all wanted the vehicle running as it should be before returning it to her. We set the customer up with a loaner vehicle while we completed the repairs and also absorbed all costs associated with sending the vehicle to the [redacted] Dealership. We inquired with [redacted] why she filed a complaint with the Revdex.com and she insists it was not her that filed the complaint. The customer agreed that she wanted the truck right when she received it back and that we were accommodating her while we remedied the situation. At this time, the vehicle has been repaired and all parties agree that this complaint is invalid and should be removed from Fulton Auto's file at the Revdex.com. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. Steven W., VP

eurethane could finish drying. The customer picked the vehicle up after hours that evening. They returned to our business the next morning stating they were upset that we scratched their vehicle. We indicated that we were not aware we caused any damage and certainly if we did, we would take care of it. Mr. [redacted] took our Mechanic and Shop Manager out to his vehicle and pointed out superficial scratches on the vehicle that were no where in the vicinity in which we were performing our work. The customer had no complaints on the windshield
or surrounding area in which we  were working. The complaintants wife was with him and they were both very beligerant to our staff. They indicated they are bikers and are with [redacted] Cycles. The wife proceeded to point out different areas of concern. She found a few black spots on the car that she pointed out asserting that it was windshield eurethane. It wiped right off so it certainly was not eurethane but more likely debris from the road as it had rained through the night and they drove the vehicle here. She proceeded to walk around the vehicle asking what each little speck was on her vehicle, including the bird droppings on her hood. The complainants wife called the next day again and spoke with the Shop Manager. We again told her the scratches she pointed out were not in the vicinity in which we were working and did not occur here. The area in which we were working with razors and cut out tools was undamaged. She then went on to say that the windshield does not fit the vehicle. We explained they make one windshield to flt that vehicle which fits a 1993-2002 [redacted] or [redacted]. We asked her to bring the car up so she could show us her area of concern and she refused. The black putty they see is windshield eurethane which anyone that installs the windshield would have to use or it will leak. There has been no indication that the windshield leaks. We explained that we do repairs as well as body work and painting at our shop and we are very diligent about protecting the interests of our customers and their vehicles. We told her if she in fact found that we missed a spot of eurethane during our clean up of the job to bring it up and we would take care of it, she responded by stating"I don't want you working on my [redacted] car." Certainly, we have encountered situations where we have caused damage while working on a vehicle. It happens to anyone in this business. We have made the situation right everytime we were at fault. We perform numerous windshield installs and very seldom have any issues with them. After viewing the vehicle, we maintain the position that the windshield we installed did not cause scratches to the front bumper, rear fender, hood and other areas of the car where we were not performing work as the complaintant indicated. Unfortunately, it appears as though this customer is fishing to get a free paint job. We will not assume liability for this issue as we find no validity to their complaint and the customer is being entirely uncooperative. Thank you for bringing these concerns to our attention. We pride ourselves on customer service and take these matters very seriously.
