Review: I had my daughters Birthday party paid about $400 for my 2 year old to get kicked off a bouncy house with her 12yr old brother about 10 times the hostess was very rude walked around complaining about my daughters Birthday party Me My fianc and I had to keep asking her what was going on and what the problem was she said nothing a lot of kids getting rough but it was not mine well if it was not my children why did you throw my kids off and she walked away. My daughter was not even able to finish her cake and the hostess threw her presents in a garbage bag and told us we had to leave because she didn't keep track of the time. This was ridiculous she was very rude. For the price I paid I couldn't even have a piece of cake with my daughter for her birthday I was not even able to play with my daughter because of the hostess not doing her job on there website it completely says 2 hours time for cake and food and play with your child and everything it said did not happen I was very upset and felt completely disrespected I drove an hour in a half for this party felt like it was for nothing. My fianc called the [redacted] and he told us he never had a complaint before maybe she was having a bad day I am sorry that is no excuse to ruin a 2 year olds birthday.Desired Settlement: I would like at least some of my money back now that I will be planning another birthday party for my daughter because of them ruining her birthday party I have never seen such upset kids at a place for kids.

Response:

To begin, I was not present the day the birthday party was held. Approximately 1 or 2 days after the event, I received a phone call from the fiance mentioned in the complaint. He was the person who paid for the party according to the [redacted] that was present the day of the event. His complaint was that the birthday party host was rude, the pizzas arrived late, the birthday child did not have time to open her gifts, and that some party guests were "kicked off" of bounce houses. I spoke with him for approximately 15 minutes, trying to get as many details as possible. Our business has received minor complaints and suggestions in the past, but never one of this nature, accusing a host of being rude to the customer. My comment about the "host having a bad day" was a poor attempt at humor to try to diffuse the conversation, and I'm sorry if it was taken in a different manor. I expressed my concern that he wasn' ;t happy with his experience and offered him more free passes to go along with the free pass the birthday child received as part of the party package. He accepted my offer.

Upon speaking to all of my staff that were present that day, I was informed that the pizzas did in fact arrive on time. Pizzas are normally delivered 1 hour into a 2 hour party. We give our customers the option to have their pizza and cake at the same time, or allow the children to play in between. How the time is spent during the rest of the party is up to each individual customer. Some like to allow the children to play right up until the end, while others spend time opening gifts. The majority of our customers choose to wait until they go home to open their gifts. As a convenience to the customer, the party hosts will offer to bag up or consolidate all of the gifts to make it easier to transport them home. In this particular case, the host does not remember asking if the customer wanted her gifts consolidated, and I can clearly see how that could be considered rude.

As far as kids being "kicked off of bounce houses", we want children to have fun, but we also want them to be safe. We have clearly posted safety rules, for example, no climbing up sides, no wrestling, using proper entrances and exits to bounce houses. Any children seen performing an unsafe act is usually given warnings and asked to stop. If repeated warnings are necessary, the child will either be brought to the adult responsible for them, or asked to play on another bounce house.

We do our best to make our customers happy. Unfortunately, that was not the case in this instance.
