Fun Flicks Outdoor Movies

hired Fun Flicks for my sons birthday party in South Florida last week. He had 25 friends over to watch a movie in the backyard. Unfortunately Fun Flicks never showed up and left 25 kids with nothing to do. From Monday thru Friday I repeatedly reached out to the company to find out why no one showed up. They kept on giving me the same excuse that I had to talk to the local office and that they have relayed the message and someone would follow up with me ASAP. After two call per day (one in the morning and one in the afternoon) I finally received the following email. Even though she takes responsibility I think it is completely unacceptable that they didn't show up or notify us that they weren't showing up. I also think that this person obviously has a problem and I would use the service until it is confirmed that she did sell the business as you clearly can't rely on her to come through.
I apologize for the overdue apology for the missed event on Sunday. Your credit card has been refunded.
I unfortunately have let some very extreme personal issues get in the way of my professionalism, and I'm sorry you were affected by that. While Sunday's missed event was an honest mistake due to bad communication on my end with the national office, my lack of followup is entirely my fault.
I'm actually in process of selling the business, and this whole fiasco has made me realize that it's time to stop accepting new event jobs until the business is properly turned over. Please badmouth me personally, but don't take it as a reflection of the entire Fun Flicks organization. [redacted] and team did actively try to contact me the past couple of days, and I honestly was not in the proper mental state to respond.
