Representative of deceased client did not provide a copy of the IRS correspondence until after the statute of limitations had run out to file for a refundWe were unable to help the client at that time

I am rejecting this response because: I do not feel that I owe FMW for the Tax Return Preparation because they told me in I did not need to file one (my mother, *** * *** was in a nursing home) This negligence by FMW cost my mother a refund from the IRS, in the amount of $1,200.

The IRS notice was brought in when received as stated by the client. Most likely notices were sent to the deceased client but were not received by the executor. It was past the stature of limitations to file for refunds when the notice was sent out by the IRS and delivered to our office. We could not help the client. I will provide no more responses to this complaint
