There was clearly a certificate number on the gift certificate with an 800 number to call.  I pointed this out to the manager.  He could have taken the time to call Double Take and proven that the certificate was valid.  I offered to call the number for him even.  He made my family feel like we were thieves in front of other customers.  I mean, after all, the owner could say what he wants to say, but the bottom line is that I DID have the correct gift certificate.  I called Double Take on the Monday after the visit and they had stated that I was correct.  It was only one page and it was the correct gift certificate and the certificate had never been used.  The fact that FUNCK'S sat and did nothing when the customer pointed out specific items does not fly.  You did nothing to try and contact Double Take to see if it was valid.  The certificate was set to expire 4 days after we were trying to use it up.Regards,[redacted]

I called them as I arrived home(they are  a gas station on one of  turnpikes exits) and they said to send a receipt,so I've sent them original,but I'm attaching  the copy of it,so they can refund me and look  for original one  in their place. Pls see attachments

The customer who filed the complaint about the Gift Certificate from the Double Take Deals did not have the correct confirmation of their Purchase of the Gift Certificate usually used to redeem the certificate.  ...

 They either never purchased the gift certificate and printed the ad for the purchase or purchased it and printed the wrong thing.  There was not the confirmation number or dates on the print out necessary.   The manager on duty showed them a copy of another certificate we had accepted that day to show them the difference.  We have accepted thousands of the Double Take Certificates in the past several years and have never had a problem.  The manager was under the impression they would return again with the correct confirmation.  There must have been some confusion between the guest and the manager that day.

Review: Went to Funck's restaurant to have lunch yesterday at their [redacted], PA store. My parents and I ate and had a promotional gift certificate from Double Take Deals/Offers for $15 worth of food for $30. We went to turn it in to pay our bill along with the rest of the payment. Manager came back and said he would not honor the gift certificate because it could have been copied. I pointed out the 800 number to call and also the gift certificate number to call to verify that it was not used previously. He refused to call and basically said it was not his problem. My parents and I left and paid the entire bill. Gift certificate expires 8/28 and we ate on 8/24, so there's not much time left. I was more upset that he came to our table instead of meeting us at the front counter liked we had asked the waitress to have him do, because he was making us look like we were thieves trying to get away with something in front of other customers. My parents and I have been going to their restaurants for 35 years, so it was kind of insulting to us. We would have left our phone number and address if there was a problem with the certificate also. They should not have agreed to this promotion if they do not want to honor it. Verified with Double Take deals 800 number on 8/25 that it was a valid certificate!!! Spoke with Jenny.Desired Settlement: Refund of $30 in the form of cash or check. We do not want one of their certificates at this point.

Review: we were traveling on a freeway from PA to Oh and stop by this palace to get some fruit,everything we opened on the way home was perished and not acceptable,carrots smelled like spoiled eggs,we had to pull out the freeway and put everything in a trunk covered in bunch of plastic to prevent us from terrible smell.I called the manager the next day and he said to send original receipt with description of problem,I did and never herd from them since then.I do have the copy of it still if need.Desired Settlement: just refund my perchase

Funck's cannot be sure how the [redacted] product was handle once the [redacted] product left the store. In the customer's statement there is no mention that the [redacted] product was out of date either. However if the customer is able to get a copy of the receipt to Funck's we will gladly refund the purchase. Our address is 1805 N.ST. Route 934, Annville Pa.
