I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
Regards,

I DID NOT receive any reimbursement for the lab testsMy insurance company informed me that they have a contract with L*** and have a MUCH lower rate/fee for the testsMy insurance company and I called L*** and they stated they never received any payment for my tests besides what the insurance company paid themSo either functional endocrinology is being untruthful or L*** isAfter many attempts with speaking to L*** people..no one was able to locate my name or functional endocrinology in their system for the two dates I was there for testing

I finally got the invoices from LabCorp. I will be forwarding it to you shortly. It does not show that it was paid, so I’m going to also send proof of payment from our bank.  Will that work?

above-referenced complaint. In our office, clients pay us for their testing and then we pay the lab when we receive the invoice. We then give the clients the coding that they need to seek reimbursement from their insurance company. This procedure is followed in every case and was followed with regard to [redacted]. In the last few months, we have had 3 incidents that are similar to Ms. [redacted]‘s - the insurance company paid the lab instead of reimbursing the client. This results in the lab being paid twice (once by us and once by the insurance company) and the client not at all. ln every instance, including Ms. [redacted]’s, we have called the insurance company and the lab to let them know of the problem. To my knowledge, all have been resolved. It sounds like L[redacted] is refunding Ms. [redacted] for the money they received from the insurance company. what is not clear from Ms. [redacted]'s complaint is why she feels she is entitled to a refund from  from us. The lab billed us for her testing and we paid that invoice. if we refunded her for her testing, she would end up getting free testing and could possibly even make more money than she paid since she will have been paid by us and the lab. She does have to pay for her testing. She did that when she entered Into care. We paid her bill to the lab and now the lab is reimbursing her for the money she spent. This is how it is Supposed to work. Typically, if a client is unhappy, I contact them to see what we can do to help. in this instance, I'm not sure what we can do. We paid Ms. [redacted]'s lab bill and cannot now also pay her.Sincerely, Functional Endocrinology of Ohio Caroline Boardman  President
