Great company! Fast, efficient, and good rates! I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for caroling capital!

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT ON THE APPLICATION YOU SIGN AWAY YOUR RIGHT TO LEAVE A NEGATIVE PUBLIC REVIEW REGARDLESS OF HOW YOUR EXPERIENCE GOES WITH THEM AFTER YOUR FIRST SIGNATURE ON THE APPLICATION.
This leaves the recipient, LEGALLY BOUND - to be unable to leave a negative review if, after signing the application, they have a poor experience and want to make it known publicly to safeguard others. The penalty is a $7500 fine for EACH infraction + Legal fees.
I caught this while I was filling out my application, queried it and it was confirmed by A.G. that this was in fact true. He voiced that its purpose was so that there would be no disparaging remarks.
I feel this is an UNFAIR BUSINESS PRACTICE. Once you sign up with them, you can NEVER speak ill of them publicly - NO MATTER WHAT THEY DO OR HOW THE EXPERIENCE IS FOR YOU AS THE CONSUMER. I also left the text of this review on *** Reviews as I feel this can catch an unwary consumer and leave them with no ability to safeguard others.
Here is the clause: *** It is essentially a GAG ORDER - signing away your right to communicate before they lend.
I do not feel that is a fair business practice.
Also - they asked me for my personal Social Security Number on a business loan application for an LLC. I don't feel that is correct.
In 30 years of doing business I've left 2 negative reviews - total. This review is my second. I feel this is unfair. To their credit, this text is on the application in bold, blue letters in the body of text with a bunch of other legal stuff. That said, I wonder how many people don't read or understand that signing that very first, single page - initial application document, totally limits their ability - EVER - to leave anything but a positive review.
Please just be aware of what you are signing. This does not seem like a fair business practice to me as it removes the Consumer's right to fair treatment, removes any onus, responsibility or necessity for the consumer to be treated fairly as there's no public repercussion, no pressure of future business loss if they mistreat a customer, even accidentally.
While I want to make clear that I am not a "customer" and so Fundmerica may get this review removed on that technicality - if I were a "customer" I would be legally bound to be unable to leave this review.
The purpose of this review is to safeguard others so that they are AWARE that they are signing away that right in advance of doing any business with Fundmerica.

NOT A SAFE COMPANY TO DEAL WITH. I WROTE THIS REVIEW YESTERDAY. THIS MORNING AT 9AM I RECEIVED A PHONE CALL FROM A FUNDMERICA MANAGER LITERALLY CUSSING AT ME, TRYING TO PROVE ME WRONG AND ENDED BY TELLING ME TWICE THAT I WAS FULL OF ST AND THEN HANGING UP ON ME. PLEASE BE AWARE IT DOES NOT APPEAR THEY HAVE YOUR BEST INTEREST IN MIND. THE CALL WAS FROM A PERSON CLAIMING TO BE THE MANAGER OF A.G.
At 10:03 a.m. I got a call from J.L. who said he was a senior customer service consultant. He was courteous and insistent. He confirmed that he knew the name of the manager that had called me an hour earlier and that he had listened to the recorded call. He apologized and was seemingly very eager to make it right. He then proceeded to offer me a gift card several times to compensate me with the express intention of getting me to remove my review on *** and at the Revdex.com. He kept forcing the issue, cutting me off mid sentence and persisted. In the end I politely ended the conversation. Not a reputable business practice. I do not want money. I do not need anything from Fundmerica. I simply feel it is not a fair business practice to force a gag order of anyone that ever does business with you. Moreover to try to offer me a Gift Card, repeatedly, to take the review down - well, that is just not above boards.

This person is not a customer of FundMerica as he clearly states in this review. He also forgot to mention the fact that the application states the loan is based on the credit and risk factors of the business and the owner. Any lending institution is going to ask for the owners SSN number to determine credit worthiness and ensure no judgments or tax liens have been filed against the merchant. The manager calling and cussing at this person is completely false, we have the conversation recorded and Mr. J.L. simply tried to reconcile with this merchant by offering a gift card. Unfortunately, we are unable to satisfy this person who is not a customer of Fundmerica and has no right to leave a review as such. Our legal department will be handling this situation from here.

To be clear: J.L. was courteous on his one call with me. Though he did offer me four times, a gift card to remove my review and only desisted when I politely, but firmly declined his offer and concluded the call. I don't think that offering me a gift card to remove a Review is an ethical business practice.

J.L. confirmed that he personally heard the phone call from the manager of A.G. that called me up and cussed at me - which was the entire reason for his call - to apologize and offer the gift card.

The purpose of my review was to make known the Non Disparagement Clause which I feel is not a fair business practice.

Please note that I then received a Facebook Message from FundMerica at 8:46 p.m. Friday, 7 Feb 20, that says: "Are you sure you want to go this route? We never done business and you feel the need too leave bad reviews? It people like you why we have this clause. However, two can play this game." And, while it may be "pure coincidence," the next morning at 9:07 a.m. my personal cell phone number was spoofed and so far I have received 104 phone calls and 45 texts from persons who had gotten a call with a recorded message that just dropped F-bombs for 10 seconds and then hung up - some of them knew my name. This is perhaps pure coincidence that this occurred less than 12 hours after the Facebook private message quoted above. I've asked the FCC to investigate and given them full particulars. I've also filed two complaints with the CA State Attorney General's Office and requested an investigation as to the ethics regarding why a lending institution would offer a financial compensation, gift card, to remove a review.
As a final note, FundMerica also tried to get this Revdex.com Review removed. I had to provide evidence to the Revdex.com of the interactions we've had in order for Revdex.com to maintain this review. I sent them over a dozen emails confirming the interactions I've had with FundMerica. Revdex.com is legitimate and agreed that the Review should be posted and sustained for the next 36 months.

I harbor no ill will towards FundMerica. If they are helping people, then God Bless and that's wonderful. Personally, I would have applied to be a borrower from them, but I just felt the Non Disparagement Clause was bad business practice and I dared to communicate my view about that. Their subsequent treatment of the situation, kind of proves my point. In their notes above they threaten legal actions because I dared to post a review about their Non Disparagement Clause.

I hope this review helps someone to be well informed about my experience with FundMerica before they make their own decision.

+1

Be aware of the interest rate they say and what they offer you! First time when they called they offered 4.5% interest rate. And after doing all the paper works, application, bank statement, drivers license, SSN/SIN, and bunch of emails, phone calls, wasting so much time- they gave me this offer-
10 thousand dollars interest on 40 thousand dollars loan. And you have to start paying from next week, so basically you are paying about 40% interest on the money you are taking. Which is double compared to any credit card even.
Even over phone yesterday they told me that my interest rate is 2.68% but after I received the offer I see it's over 40%.
I think most of the reviews here are fake. So be aware!!
(I am scared now that I shared all my company information with them and what if they misuse my information.
