I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me Regards, [redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowI have already explained my reasons for not paying this bill My service was cancelled The employee's notes on my account are incorrect I also explained that I was very unhappy with the condition of my lawn under their service Why on earth would I authorize or agree to pay for such a service After reading through other complaints on this company, it appears this is a standard practice for them They try to squeeze as many treatments/payments as they can out of an account which they have lost Regards, [redacted]

First of all, I would like to say that I'm sorry for your loss Second, your mother was a great customer of our for years on and off The most recent contract she signed for our service was in and yes it was a continuous service contract Anyone can cancel at any time but they remain a customer until they do Our reminder letter that was generated in Jan was never returned to us as undelivered and it is not a renewal, it is a reminder letter showing that she is a customer, exactly what her program is, and gives the option to cancel by calling or mailing in a cancel form that is provided No action is required to continue service I have sat through audits with the NYSDEC and this is not an illegal practice This letter also showed the credit that she carried with us This letter was mailed to the same address that the invoice was mailed to after we provided the service I don't know why you would receive one and not the other We are a long time, local business with good business ethics and we have thousands of good and loyal customers Your mom was one of them and I appreciate her and her business The correct refund amount was mailed to you on her behalf Again, I am sorry for your loss and I see that my customer service rep offered her condolences as well

Hi ***I spoke to you regarding your account I am sorry that you were not satisfied with your service in We do offer free of charge service calls, where a manager will come out and assess your lawn I see that you never took advantage of that I also apologize that you didn't understand that you can cancel service at any time, all you need to do is communicate that to us If you don't, service is continuous However, we do send a reminder letter to all of our customers in February, which gives everyone plenty of time to cancel before our season begins I see that you confirm receipt of that letter but you through it away without cancelling your service with usSo, we came out and provided a service as we had in the past When we spoke, I explained all of that and the way we left it, I told you to pay whatever you thought was fair You said you'd think about it and that is where it was left Your account is cancelled and I will write off the amount on your account Thank you

As a courtesy, account has been written off. However, the complainant told a Service Manager and a Customer Service Rep that she wanted service this year

*** *** June 15,
I do not accept their response I had no knowledge of this contract and despite their disparaging remarks, I did not receive a contract renewal from them Apparently they are driven by money vs customer satisfaction and the value of their good name It is unfortunate that their reputation is worth only $to them You may convey my comments to them, but I wish no further communications Thank you

First of all, I would like to say that I'm sorry for your loss.
Second, your mother was a great customer of our for 8 years on and off.  The most recent contract she signed for our service was in 2013 and yes it was a continuous service contract.  Anyone can cancel at any time but...

they remain a customer until they do.  Our reminder letter that was generated in Jan was never returned to us as undelivered and it is not a renewal, it is a reminder letter showing that she is a customer, exactly what her program is, and gives the option to cancel by calling or mailing in a cancel form that is provided.  No action is required to continue service.  I have sat through audits with the NYSDEC and this is not an illegal practice.  This letter also showed the credit that she carried with us.  This letter was mailed to the same address that the invoice was mailed to after we provided the service.  I don't know why you would receive one and not the other.
We are a long time, local business with good business ethics and we have thousands of good and loyal customers.  Your mom was one of them and I appreciate her and her business.  The correct refund amount was mailed to you on her behalf.  Again, I am sorry for your loss and I see that my customer service rep offered her condolences as well.

I have already explained my reasons for not paying this bill.  My service was cancelled.  The employee's notes on my account are incorrect.
I also explained that I was very unhappy with the condition of my lawn under their service.  Why on earth would I authorize or agree to pay for such a service.  After reading through other complaints on this company, it appears this is a standard practice for them.  They try to squeeze as many treatments/payments as they can out of an account which they have lost.

This customer signed a continuous service contract than can be cancelled at any time.  We send reminder letters every year to remind them that we will be there. I see no record of cancellation.  However, I have taken care of the balance due.  Thank you.

Hi [redacted]. I spoke to you regarding your account.  I am sorry that you were not satisfied with your service in 2015.  We do offer free of charge service calls, where a manager will come out and assess your lawn.  I see that you never took advantage of that.  I also apologize that...

you didn't understand that you can cancel service at any time, all you need to do is communicate that to us.  If you don't, service is continuous.  However, we do send a reminder letter to all of our customers in February, which gives everyone plenty of time to cancel before our season begins.  I see that you confirm receipt of that letter but you through it away without cancelling your service with us. So, we came out and provided a service as we had in the past.  When we spoke, I explained all of that and the way we left it, I told you to pay whatever you thought was fair.  You said you'd think about it and that is where it was left.  Your account is cancelled and I will write off the amount on your account.  Thank you.

Here are my notes from the account of when I personally spoke to this customer.
12/04/2014 03:34 PM - DJB: Mr. not willing to pay for this treatment but will communicate better in the future by calling the office or using our comment section on invoice.  Also discussed changing to 4...

treatments in the future if he didn't want 5.  He will make desicion when he gets reminder in Feb.  Adj. approved.
I will accept 47.58 as payment in full for the treatment we provided.  He forgot to cancel.

This account has been cancelled and written off, even though he cancelled after we provided a service.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
