Review: We requested service on our equipment, but service was not provided during the visit. Only a water test was performed, however, we were charged for a service call. We initiated several phone calls to correct the charges. [redacted] did not respond to any of our calls. The following letter was sent to [redacted] to resolve the issue. They have once again failed to respond.

Dear Sharp Water [redacted]:

I am contacting you in writing after my repeated phone calls and messages have not been returned. I am attempting to amicably resolve the issue with the bill I received prior to taking additional actions.

On July 7, 2014, we requested service on our equipment after experiencing several issues, including blue showers and sinks, skin and hair irritations, sheet discoloration, and water strips showing high acidity and alkalinity. The service technician was very polite; however, he was unable to determine the cause of the problem. The technician tested the water and determined it was normal.

Unconvinced, I asked the technician to test the water from several sources including from a turned-blue shower and directly from the well tank. All water results were recorded as normal and still no cause for the problem was determined. The technician looked inside the neutralizer tank and determined the tank was at a normal fill level. The technician left a bill for $120.84 and told me everything was fine.

At the time of this letter, I have called the Sharp Water [redacted] office three times to discuss the bill I received for a water test and that no actual service was performed. I was directed to leave voice-mail messages for the manager, who was conveniently out of the office each time. As of today’s date, the manager or any representative from your company has failed to return my calls.

Despite only performing a water test, your company sent an inappropriate bill with charges for service and provided no resolution to our water concerns. Furthermore, your company has avoided taking accountability for your actions and failure to provide service by not acknowledging and returning my phone calls. I am extremely disappointed with your customer service and your lack of concern for over-charging your customers.

To resolve this issue, I expect to be contacted regarding the bill I received and discuss arrangements to be billed properly. Please contact me by November 14, 2014. I can be reached at ###-###-####.Desired Settlement: We will not be paying the bill received for "service". Remove the charges from our account.
