Furnace Whiz Inc Reviews (2)

Revdex.com:At this time, I have not been contacted by Higher Education Relocation Specialists regarding complaint ID ***.In fact, I have checked with my institute and the invoice has been directly paid by my university from my fundingBecause all the cost are paid by faculty members' home institute from the faculty members' startup funding, most of the faculty members prefer not complain because they usually spend more time and money and gain lessObviously, this company take the advantages of faculty membersI have figured out all the details how my stuffs were moving and the procedure IS NOT what they claimedThat is why I ask them to provide the evidence. Sincerely,*** **

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

The reply from the company has lots of logical issues and they did not show any sincere to solve the...

problems.(1) When I approached the company, I was told the final cost should be based on the actual cost. Before the movers come to my home on March **, I reported to the contact person that we have packed almost everything except the furniture. That was the reason that the company changed mind to pack and upload on the same day. All the small stuffs were packed into over 40 cardboard boxes by ourself. The clothes were packed into 8 luggage carriers, and some of the surplus clothes were packed into packing bags instead of GARBAGE BAGS. Currently, most of the carboard boxes are unpacked, and all the cardboard boxes were kept. In the Attachment 1, pages 1-3 show some photos for the evidences of luggage and cardboard boxes, and page 4 shows the receipt for buying tapes and gloves. The company replied that the movers provided packing materials and labor.  This does NOT mean they provide a FULL service to pack everything. My question is that why the company claimed a FULL pack service and did not credit our efforts? This is the first logical issue.(2) The company claimed that “the long distance truck (55' tractor trailer) could not access his residence and a shuttle service was the ONLY way to facilitate delivery.” My home in [redacted] is inside an apartment garden and there is sufficient space to park a truck (see the [redacted] map in in the attachment 2). While I don’t think it is necessary to use a shuttle, I did not challenge it. My question is that the company should show evidences that they DID used a long distance truck and transferred to a shuttle for the move. Obviously, the company did not answer this question. This is the second logical issue.(3)  The company claimed that “this customer was given a dollar allowance from [redacted] and basically will say anything in an attempt to not have to pay anything out of pocket.” “We are a reputable firm that moves hundreds of faculty for many prestigious universities around the globe.  It does not make any business sense that we would risk our reputation to try to gain a few hundred dollars revenue unfairly from a customer. Some people just don’t want to understand the facts, when it means they owe more money than they want to pay.”  Although the bill waspaid by [redacted], it was also my money in my startup package.  Because most of faculty don’t need to pay anything out of packet, they chose the most simple way to accept the bill. It does not mean the company has done good business fairly to the customers. This is the third logical issue. That is why I would like to spend more time/cost to fight for that. Although my gain is limited and may spend more for this procedure, it can benefit lots of otherfaculty members who will relocate and use this company. (4) The company claimed that “this customers actual costs came in lower than their estimate.”  This does not mean the company has done a fair business to the customer. By comparing the estimates and the invoice, we can see (a) Because we packed/unpacked the TV by ourself and we did not movethe refrigerator, the cost for third parties was reduced from $791 to $361 which means a reduction of $430. (b) The total cost for moving 10600LB in the estimate is $7515, while the final bill for moving 9380LB is $7492.  This implies that a reduction of 1220LB only result a reduction of $23 in the bill. If it is true, the whole cost for moving 9380LB should be 23*9380/1220=$177. I don’t think it is fair to the company if I only pay $177 for the moving. This is the fourth logical issue. Therefore, the final actual cost is lower than the estimate does not mean a fair business.
In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.
Sincerely,
