[redacted] reviewed and signed the lease for his wife and son to stay with us from 9/15-12/23 for a rate of $4,350 a month so the amount he states of $5253/month is incorrect. complaint of “filthy” or “thick coat of dirt on the floors” was ever made by [redacted] or [redacted] at the time of check in. Within a few days of move-in, [redacted] made numerous requests of additional kitchen supplies which we provided at no additional cost. [redacted] contacted us regarding some electrical problem in the kitchen and we contracted a licensed electrician the same day and the problem was resolved right away. [redacted] also contacted us in regards to a gas oder, we contacted the City officials and had the connection checked for any issues and this problem was resolved right away as well. I do not understand how Mr. [redacted] can make such allegations of “illegal unauthorized connections”, “electricity turned off due to non-payment” and “gas leak”. The owner of this property owns numerous other properties around Boston which he has owned for over the past 25 years. He makes regular updates to the property interior. This property was updated prior to Mrs. [redacted] moving in, new kitchen cabinets, granite countertops, brand new appliances, completely updated bathroom, refinished hardwood flooring, new lighting fixtures and everything was completed up to the City of Boston building code standards. The utility bills are paid monthly and the power interruption was due to maintenance in the area. However we have had to chase Mr. [redacted] down for rent payments every month as they were not being paid on time. [redacted] also claimed to have ''moved into a hotel" after the gas issue was already fixed but was really still staying in the apartment the entire time along with her son. The last payment was due on November 15, 2018 but still had not been paid as of the first week of December. After numerous unanswered calls, it was during this first week of December that [redacted] moved out of the apartment and broke the lease. The rent for November-December was never paid. [redacted] stated that he had mailed us the keys to the unit but we have not received them and nor have we received payment of the loss of rent for the month of November to December 2018.
