Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: I knew the measurements coming in to the store and kept telling the employee named Larry we do not want it to cover the patio door, yet it ended up not only covering the door but upto our fireplaceInstead of it being seats on the side of the chaise on the right they put only plus the chaise and made seats on the left side which is why it covered the doorI did not agree to the restocking fee of $and refused to sign the papers when the delivery men came to pick up the couchThis store has not only lied about this whole situation, but treated me with great disrespect I have bought a lot of furniture with them over the years and never had issue, but this time I am very upset and disappointed because they are very unhelpful and treated me very unprofessionallyThere was no agreement from my side to accept $restocking fee because if the store made the couch wrong its their fault why do I need pay for the restocking fee when I did not ask for it to be made like thisI feel that the owner has completely lied about me accepting to pay the $400, therefore I again request my refund of $cash.Sincerely,*** ***

To whom it may concern:
Ms*** ordered a custom made sectional sofa on March 7th, at the price of $2,plus $delivery for a total of $2,She put $as down payment and financed the restOn April 12th we delivered the sectional to her homeThe next day Ms***
called and said that the sectional is too big for her space and she would like to return itOur store manager,MrT***, told her that it was a custom order and we couldn't take it backThe fact is the factory, Stanton, would not take it back because it is the way the customer ordered and it is already madeIt is unfortunate that the sectional is too big for her space but Ms*** came to our store at least times, working with two sales person, Larry and Cesar, she should have know her space measurement before she placed the order
Anyway Ms*** plead that it is too big and her family had bought many things at our store over the yearsOnly then we agreed to take it back with a $restocking feeShe agreed to it and we came and picked up the sectional the next dayThe sectional is now in our clearance center; it will be sold off sometimes in the future with a drastic reduced priceIt is, in reality, no different than a can of paint with the wrong color at the local hardware store waiting for someone to pick it up at a discount price
We did Ms*** a favor by taking it back with a mere $restockingWe could have said no and just let her handle it herself but we decided to help her and now she came around and complain about itWe have been in business for yearsWe are proud to have the best record in the Portland Metro areas in term of customer servicesWe rarely have a complaint like this but it is obviously not our fault that she ordered the wrong oneWe still have her sectional, we can deliver it to her again if that is what she wants.
