May 21, Revdex.com Corporate Office La Posada Drive Austin, Tx Dear [redacted] I am responding to the complaint ID number [redacted] Here are the facts: On May 6, Mr [redacted] came to my store Furniture Etc located at [redacted] , TX asking for mattressesI showed him several different styles with varying prices from $and up for a full size setHe told me that he could not afford to pay these higher pricesThen I directed him to a full size Sleep Design mattress and box springs for $I clearly explained to him that this mattress set was a floor sample thus the lower priceI also explained that these floor samples were sanitizedhe agreed on the purchase of the mattress and box spring for $did not deceive Mr [redacted] , I never promised to give him a new, full size Sleep Design mattress set for $only the floor sampleI have been in this business for more than years and never in that time have I received any formal complaints because I pride myself on my merchandize, my word, and my customersI have never taken money under any pretense because honesty has been the key to my successI refunded Mr [redacted] $which included the agreed upon price of $plus tax for the floor sample Sleep Design mattress setSincerely, [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: I did accept the floor model at the agreed price BUT I SPECIFICALLY ASKED IF IT WAS USED AND SHE SAID IT WAS NOT. I was never told it was sanitized as that would have raised a red flag as whether it was used.  In fact, the matttress had tags indicating it was second hand and clearly looked worn out. She offered a floor model for a set price. Her receipt even shays sales are finals and no refunds. She was visibly surprised when I complained and reiterated I never was told it was used or would have not purchased  She lied and will not honor her word and if I do not receive the mattress and box spring for the price offered, I will begin a public campaign and even file a complaint with the attorney General office under the Deceptive Trade Practices Act and file a lawsuit in JP court. She can either pay now or pay later.

I showed him several different styles with varying prices from $299 and up for a full size set. He told me that he could not afford to pay these higher prices. Then I directed him to a full size Sleep Design mattress and box springs for $229. I clearly explained to him that this mattress set was a floor sample thus the lower price. I also explained that these floor samples were sanitized. he agreed on the purchase of the mattress and box spring for $229. did not deceive Mr. [redacted], I never promised to give him a new, full size Sleep Design mattress set for $229 only the floor sample. I have been in this business for more than 20 years and never in that time have I received any formal complaints because I pride myself on my merchandize, my word, and my customers. I have never taken money under any false pretense because honesty has been the key to my success. I refunded Mr. [redacted] $247 which included the agreed upon price of $229 plus tax for the floor sample Sleep Design mattress set.
