Initial Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2015/06/22) */
From: [redacted] (mailto:[redacted]@comcast.net)
Sent: Tuesday, June 02, XXXX X:XX PM

Subject: RE: Revdex.com Complaint Case# [redacted] (Ref#XX-XXXXXXXX-XXXXXXXX-X-XXX)
[redacted],
This particular customer has never...

paid us for what we did. Her and her husband are thieves.
Regards,
[redacted]
Owner

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2015/10/06) */
Mr [redacted] did half of the work in his kitchen.
He was standing almost on top of us as we worked.
Damage such as he is stating would have been very evident as he was watching the 30 minutes I was near the refrigerator. I have an email where I...

stated that to them and never got a response. This is the only other time where this was mentioned. Very sneaky way to go about it. I also have finished pictures of the kitchen to show the workmanship and a direct view of said refrigerator not dented.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 8, 2015/10/16) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Re: Revdex.com Case XXXXXXXX
Response to Mr. [redacted]'s response
A project time line will help to better explain vendor responsibilities and deliverables, issues and comments in the original filing of the complaint.
Mr. [redacted] was responsible for refinishing all cabinets and making modifications to two cabinets and installing crown molding, cabinet skirts and cabinet dust covers.
BA[redacted]as responsible for installing new appliances.
Ro[redacted]o[redacted]as responsible for fabricating and installing granite countertops.
Homeowner was responsible for removing, transporting cabinets to Mr. [redacted]'s shop for refinishing and then reinstalling cabinets.
Mr. [redacted] said he had done hundreds of range top installations and could do a much better job refinishing the cabinets if they were moved to his shop. That was what was done. Some cabinets came back incomplete of stain and finish. (Thus, our comment on lack of quality control)
The cabinet to be modified for a new range top came back with no sides or back to support the granite countertop and the shelf for the range top to sit on was not level and offset by 5/16 of an inch. In addition, to help Mr. [redacted], BAC s[redacted]lied a range top for exact fitting. The homeowner now had to rebuild the cabinet to range top specifications. Consequently, the homeowner now lacked confidence in Mr. [redacted]'s ability to deliver quality results of agreed committed deliverables. (Thus, our comments that Mr. [redacted] could not follow written instructions and specifications) Homeowner repaired range top cabinet and installed the remaining cabinets so Rock So[redacted]anite fabricator, could build a templet and cut and install the granite counter top. They did an excellent job.
Next, after cabinet and countertop granite installation were complete, BAC ins[redacted]led all the new appliances: range top, two microwaves, oven and the refrigerator. They, also, did an excellent job. At this time, homeowner, Rock So[redacted]a[redacted]C had[redacted]l their tasks and responsibilities completed.
After the above was accomplished, only Mr. [redacted]'s tasks were left to be completed:
1. Fix and repair cabinet refinish identified by homeowner
2. Install cabinet doors
3. Install cabinet crown molding, cabinet skirts and cabinet dust covers
On the first of the final two days of Mr. [redacted]'s work, 8/25/15:
1. Protective blankets were used on the wood floors and countertops
2. Cabinets without proper refinish were carefully addressed and corrected
3. Cabinet doors were installed, but not leveled and door gaps were uneven. A subordinate was not trained properly to install the doors. (Thus, our direct comment to Mr. [redacted] that a lack of mentoring was evident)
4. Kick plate installation under cabinets was installed broken. It was noticed by homeowner and replaced the next day.
5. Work was started on the crown molding, cabinet skirts and cabinet dust covers.
The next and last day, 8/26/15;
1. No protective blankets were used
2. A little more cabinet refinishing was done.
3. Crown molding, cabinet skirts and dust cover were completed on cabinet located above the refrigerator. Mr. [redacted]'s ladder was placed right in front of refrigerator. He had to lean over the refrigerator in order to install the cabinet dust covers.
Homeowners were not standing on top of Mr. [redacted], but were aware that a pattern of carelessness and lack of attention to detail were prevalent. So, attention was given to the work being preformed on the cabinets. There were no issues with the installation of the crown molding, cabinet skirts or cabinet dust covers.
At the end of the day there was dialog about the range top cabinet modification and Mr. [redacted] agreed to a $150.00 reduction. There was also dialog about subordinate mentoring.
Summary:
We were disappointed in the errors, quality and lack of attention to detail of cabinet refinishing. Mr. [redacted] was paid in full on 8/26/15.
What we failed to do was pay attention to any damage to appliances. Our attention was focused on cabinet work. We saw the small dent in the refrigerator in the morning light the next day and immediately notified Mr. [redacted] by email with pictures. To be perfectly clear, after the appliances were installed, Mr. [redacted] and staff were the only people working on the kitchen project. All other vendor's and the homeowner's responsibilities had been completed two weeks earlier. Attempting to shift blame is an old tactic, but will not work here.
In regard to not responding to Mr. [redacted]'s last email to us stating that if he had done the whole project, no damage would have been done to the refrigerator, our response was this Revdex.com complaint.
We stand by our original Revdex.com complaint with this additional supplement.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 13, 2015/11/11) */
I have a picture when we were done with no damage on the refrigerator. Mr [redacted] was standing and watching me the whole time I worked in that area and never pointed anything out. It was only some time later that this was brought up. He also did half the work in there so he should accept it.
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 15, 2015/11/16) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
We are in a circle argument with Furniture Medic by [redacted]. This will not lead to any solution. We stand by our original complaint with the additional submitted supplement, properly addressing all the issues brought up by Mr. [redacted] in both of his responses. Our complaints of poor quality control, lack of attention to detail and carelessness fit the pattern of other complaints about Furniture Medic by [redacted] with the Denver Revdex.com.
